Yes we stayed here in 2005 and were worried it had changed alot from when we went but after speaking to kristell on here who went last year it doesnt sound like it has changed at all.
We booked the hotel through travel republic but there is an email address on H10 hotels website where you can contact the hotel direct. I try and do this wherever we stay now mainly to confirm they do actually have our booking - my worst nightmare would to be to turn up at the hotel and being told they have no record of our booking but also to request any other things e.g we have 2 rooms booked this time, one for my sister on her own and one for me,hubby and kids so wanted to ask that the rooms are together.
The last time we went to the rubicon we asked before we went whether we could have an upper floor room (better view) but we were not expecting much as we had paid for a standard double (didnt pay extra for sea view) and we were given a lovely room with a great view so it does not hurt to ask!
thanks for the tip x
Dont expect a quick reply to emails though it usually takes them 2/3 days to reply to mine!
They replied in less than 12 hours to mine. I sent one in english and another one in spanish and the english one arrived first.
I have emailed asking for a room upgrade as we experienced problems this year - they emailed back in less than 24 hours a very positive response. I am going to see where we are put when we arrive but I have 20% off voucher they gave us at the time of the problems (see hotel review) which I may well use, if they let me to upgrade from AI to Club. They did go out of their way to help us last year and I hope they will do same this year! Although we had problems - as you can see it hasn't stopped us going back this year!
hi there
The Rubicon is bands. That's what our plas had for their AI there recently.
question for anyone in the know...
Do men have to waer long trousers or will 3/4 be ok?
thanks only 31 days to go yippeee
fatcodycat (direct from rubicon palace ) but on the minus side only 10 days left of our time here
only one month to go
Also when they say a triple room does that mean 3 single beds or 2 doubles and a single or 2 doubles?
TIA
They charge 3 euros a day + 5 euro deposit for the fridge - thats without any drinks which obviously are alot extra!
I dont know what they would call a triple room, is it for 2 adults and 1 child or 3 adults?? if its 2 adults & 1 child it would probably be similar to what we had which is 2 double beds and a single pull out bed.
I left something off my review which i meant to add which was that pool towels are 10 euros EACH deposit and 50 cents to change them if you need to.

Thanks for the towels info.
Well what's happened is we're a party of 6 and it appears they've booked us in to 2 triple rooms instead of a 2 and a 4. Was just trying to see if 2 adults and 2 kids will manage in the room or if the kids are going to get split up.
We had 2 adults and 2 kids in our room - I probably didnt make that clear in the last post as I only mentioned 1 single bed - we had 2 double beds and 1 pull out bed and the other kids bed was one which converted from a armchair. we managed fine with that and my sister who was with us had a double room to herself with 1 double bed.

Last year Reception advised us that it worked out cheaper to purchase xx bottles of water with the fridge - can't remember how much it was but they are very good at telling you the cheapest/best option.
Thanks for that 4 weeks 6 days to go.
8 days to go
Yes, there are hairdryers in the rooms.
