Just spoken to Mustafa and he's leaving Sarigerme tomorrow Lunch time. His military service will be in Aydin with the Janadrma.
If you want to book tours though his site check out http://www.sarigermeholiday.com as this will remain active throughout his service.
first review of the season.....listed under holiday village tropical, but they stayed at the palace.........have a look
I'm sure we'll all be thinking about Mustafa while he's doing his national service and he'll be missed by all his friends here. Hopefully when his training is finished he'll be able to get some internet access and say hello to us.
Tracy, that review wasn't brilliant was it? I have to say though the twice I've been, I've thankfully been lucky enough never to see any karaoke.
DH says tonight he would like to go back to pp in June/July. I just don't know if I could go back for a third holiday in a row. As much as I loved it we generally don't go back to the same place twice, never mind a third time. We loved the holiday village though, as did our ds, but the prices of the other holiday villages are just extortionate by comparison. So watch this space, seems I may be there this year after all!

I've just read the '1st review of the season'... It could have been worse..?!
I am wondering though, why this family had their rooms were upgraded from a family/kids den room to jacuzzi suites?
Would this be something done automatically by the hotel, or the choice of the family?
I'm a bit concerned, as we've booked the kids den room - just hoping everythings ok there!
When we were there in 2005, we had to queue up in the ampitheatre to register the kids for the next days clubs. Is that still the case this year?
What are the mozzies like at the holiday village at the moment? (sorry for the mozzies talk, but I only want to know about this resort.)
Whats the food like?
Do they have Barcardi on all inclusive?
Are the pools warm?
Not too worried about people saying its like Butlins abroad, we have been to the Majorca & Lanzarote holiday village's and yes the entertainment is a little butlins like but take it as a bit of a laugh, the kids were happy and if their happy we are. Both holiday's were fantastic and we can't seem to go anywhere but Holiday Village's now, as a busy mum all I want is to chill as much as possilbe and you get this with a capital C.
Just found the chatroom for Turkey but noone seems to use it!!!!!
Duncan, they weren't doing this in May and September 2006, it was first come first served. Not to say that they didn't do it in high season though.
At the end of the day, I suppose it doesnt matter if we queue up to register them for the next day or just queue up on the day and hope they get in.
Due to a bad back from a fallon holiday in Fuerteventura recently - can anyone tell me if there are pads on the sunbeds at this Hotel? Are towels still provided also?
Many thanks
Jan
Duncan, it was really good actually. It meant if you decided to go at the last minute you could get them in. Not once did our little fella not get in.
It means the next day if you decide to do something else you can and take each day as it comes.

Never mind if the food is nice or if the building work causes problems as long as he can watch the footy!!!!

Keep checking weather and it is not very reasuring!! Are the evenings still cold as bbc report states ?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?world=0155
Are the pools freezing ?

Weather reports from Chelsea Boy on this website says its mid 30's over the last couple of days, but I looked on BBC website too which is a lot lower. I think we are just going to have to wait and see but take jackets anyway.
Have a good flight and enjoy your holiday.
Just to let you know, I was there from 15th - 29th May last year. The first week the weather was nice, not roasting hot but you could sunbathe. I did need a light cardi most evenings tho to cope with the wind.
The second week really heated up and it was warmer at night too.
I would take a little hoodie or something with you just in case. And yes, the pools were freezing!
~Green wristbands for tropical and red for palace, there is a sign up on the border saying private but no fence. We had no problems using the facilites in the tropical and in the evening as it was a little chilly if you were wearing a top which covered your red wristband you got served in their bars too
~What are the mozzies like at the holiday village at the moment?
There are a few around, I got bitten on the first night 3 times but next ay bought sin kov and had no problem
~Whats the food like?
Lots of it, lots of chicken, plenty of salads, had turkish night on saturday which was different, something for eveyone i think, I'm a fussy eater and spent the week eating too much.
~Do they have Barcardi on all inclusive?
Not bacardi. The drinks on all inclusive are: coke, fanta, lemonade, sprite, efes, peach schnapps, melon schapps, tropical schnapps, orange schnapps, gin, raki, vodka, local fruit juices, water and tea and coffee available at meal times (i think thats eveything?)
~Are the pools warm?
A cold shock if you jump straight in but you get used to it and its quite refreshing. A board outside said the main pool was 24degrees.
~Weather
We had cloudy warm (early 20s) until thursday and then hot hot hot! 30s I would say at the moment althought it feels quite chilly in the evening, i took a couple light jumpers and was glad i did.
~Sport
Yes you can watch the england game in the pool bar, they have 2 tvs just ask them to put it on and they will. There were various football games on while we were there and anyone who asked got it put on no problem.
~Building Work
Not a problem, didnt see/hear it at all in fact if we hadnt been told before we left we would not have even known about it.
Any more questions if i can i will try and answer.
x
Thanks for the answers Mizydoscape.
So would you say over all you had a great holiday?
It certainly has been the previous two years Amanda, there were big wine barrels in all restaurants and bars that you could just help yourself too.
Thanks so much Mizydoscape for answering all my questions, hope you had a great time.
