Discussions regarding holidays in Egypt.
When we went a family checking in in front of us got a swim up room on arrival a guess it depends on availability. After speaking to them part way through the holiday they wished they hadn't paid the extra because they ended up using the sunbeds near the main pools all the time as they found their daughter wasn't making friends and it wasn't as easy to keep replenishing drinks. But I guess it's down to everyones needs and what makes their holiday. I think they felt out of it until they started using the main pool :cheers 41 days till Orlando :cheers

Hi could anyone recommend a good twin room, for 2 adults.
We would love a beach view (right near the beach would be even better)(block 6 are all doubles), and close to the restaurants and a bar!

Thanks
Jules

Hi Liz, can you suggest the best block or room with a twin beds, close to beach (sea view), and not to far from a bar and restaurants?
Thanks so much!

Jules - I don't know about twin rooms, sorry !
Maybe it would be best to email the hotal and ask them direct.
The staff are fantastic and will help you in any way they can.
But you won't be far from anything what ever block you are in as there are bars and towel men next to all pools and the main restaurant is in the main block.

Graham - don't worry, I will be posting my review very soon !

just back yesterday from HV had a great 2 weeks in room 10322 its a twin room on the 2nd floor over looking the the quiet pool and right next to the main reception building where the bar and restaurant is. We were never bothered by noise from the entertainment or bars on a night time and we could always watch for the rush on sunbeds and nip down to claim ours :D The beach is a 3 or 4 minute walk. enjoy your hols. we have already priced for going back next year!

We had a ground floor room in block 6 and that had a bath. I think there are others in block 5, but we were very happy with block 6.

Hi,

I'm new to this site

I am off to the holiday village red sea tomorrow morning, 3rd visit in 12 months :D

Kids dens are also in block 5, we stayed in room 5201 in March 2009 amazing veiws over the main pool and out to sea
my daughter was 12 when we stayed there and to be honest she just fit in the bunk.

Last visit (Jan 2010) we had a swim up room, 7102, it had the sun all day long but to be honest it wasn't worth the money we paid for it as we ended up by the main pool (closer to the drinks etc) not once did we have anyone come round asking if we wanted drinks while by the swim up rooms, the rooms are HUGE tho ;)

This visit we have booked a Junior Suite

The staff are amazing, so friendly.
My kids love it there and hate having to come home! We have made many friends in sharm, they have been counting down to us returning

:sun2 can't wait for the next few hours to go lol

I have been speaking with a work colleague that went here last year during Ramadan and she said that the staff were horrendous due to the fasting it was as though they were very grumpy etc.

Has anyone else had experience of this?
