you will meet plenty of folk, if you smile and say Hi.
The kids clubs and family activities were great. You will have a ball, make the most of it!

We went to HV last May and loved every minute of it, we were in swim up room 7111 which was great!! We've booked again for this May and would like a swim up room overlooking the quiet pool, does anyone know what block that is? or any other suggestions of good swim up rooms?

Hello there, we are flying out from Cardiff on 4th May and can't wait!! We originally booked 2 years ago then cancelled at the last minute because of dreadful sickness reports so we went to HV Turkey instead. Immediately after we cancelled the 5 star reviews came pouring in ( typical ) and we regretted cancelling!! I've been banned from Trip Advisor this time but after a sneaky look I see the hotel is rated 6 out of 210 :) We have a 7 year old boy who will be in the kids club and can't wait to make new friends!!
Not long now :cheers

Hi we fly out for 2 weeks on May 6th from Birmingham and really cant wait! There are only the three of us (my husband, my 4 year old son and myself) looking forward to meeting you all that will be there then.

To those of you who have been there a couple of questions:

We have booked a select family suit can anyone tell us the location of these and the layout??
Also is there any problems with mosquito's just so we know what to bring?

Thank you....oooohh 3 and a half weeks!!!!!!!!!

Just found out we ARE in a kids den which is great. Can anyone recommend specific rooms to ask for or indeed rooms to avoid in blocks 5 or 6?

Thanks

Hi we are due to travel on 25 April from Gatwick subject to volcanic ash. Have had to rebook as was supposed to travel today staying at the Sonesta Beach in Naama Bay. We have had to change our accommodation to the Holiday Village. Am travelling with my husband, son who is almost 4 and my parents. We have managed to book two select rooms but apart from this have no other information. Just wondered if anyone else is travelling around this time. Am a bit apprehensive with being in Nabq Bay as was looking forward to being able to stroll along the promenade to Naama Bay. Am also hoping to meet up with my brother who works in Cairo but due to flight change will only be able to see him for 1 day instead of 4! He is staying in Naama Bay but as he has lived in Egypt for 6 years knows all about getting a taxi. Does anyone have an email address for the hotel so I can find out if he can come and see us for the day and pay for his food etc. Am hoping that as the school holidays will be over that there are too many rowdy drunks as this is not my scene. Any advice would be very much appreciated. :)

Hi

We were planning on going to Dominican Republic or Mexico as a last minute deal but because of the ash cloud holidays have gone up about £300 per person :really So, I'm looking at this hotel instead. We have a 16 month old daughter and just want to know if it's going to be too hot for her.
We're planning on going in about 3 weeks, so mid-may.
Thanks

Hi Stacey,

don't know if you remember me but we used to chat before we both had sproglets.

I think it'll be fine for your little one as the heat in Egypt is a much drier heat so you may even find it not so hot as the Dom Rep which is much more sticky and humid. Just keep your DD in a full uv suit and a hat and you'll be fine.

By the way we took our DD to the holiday village (she was 28 months) for Xmas and new year and would definitely reccommend it. the staff couldn't do enough for you and are fantastic with the kids. The hotel was spottlessly clean and none of us had any tummy problems at all. Our DD has a fantastic time and loved the childrens entertainers especially one of the men who she developed a little crush on. A couple of times she even made a break for him during the evening shows, and would clamber up on stage and go and hold his hand!

Hello there, we've just come back from HV and we had a fantastic time. The swim up rooms are fantastic but I can't help with the booking sorry.
There are shops outside although we only went looking once and didn't enjoy the experience of being hassled and bartering! There is a pharmacy and supermarket just outside if you need anything.
The staff are wonderful, gardens amazing, lovely food especially the a-la-carte restaurants, the kids clubs and activities are fantastic. The evening entertainment wasn't our cup of tea but we were very happy to sit in the sports bar, lobby bar or outside terrace and have a drink.
Just ask if you want to know anything, we're already thinking of booking again :sun2

Cherished, if you email the hotel then you can upgrade to a swim up room. Its ramy-moris@coralsearesorts.com

At what sort of cost is the upgrade and are the swim up rooms far from the beach, bars and main pools for entertainment?

Hi

The swim up rooms cost about 21.00 per night, ours was 294.00 for the 2 weeks but definately worth it, we came back on sunday and we wish we were back now. :(

Any more questions you have, just ask.

You can only book with first choice and on their website the swim up rooms are called pool view rooms.

you can definately upgrade through the hotel when you get there, as we have done it the last 2 years we've been so you don't have to book it with First Choice. :D

Hi Everyone, we're going to the village in July 6 weeks and counting :cheers and after reading reviews we can't wait. We booked a Kids Den room and was wondering if anyone can give any info on best room number to suggest, if the kids den rooms are close to pools etc. Got a 12 year old and 7 year old who have been to the Turkey Village and loved the kids clubs dunno if 12 year old will be as keen this year though. Are inflatables, snorkelling gear etc cheaper to buy outside the hotel and what sort of prices? We are looking forward to seeing all the tropical fish. Any info much appriciated. Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,
I'm new on here and this is my first post.

I'm going to First Choice Holiday Village for Christmas and New Year 2010 for the first time. I have booked interconnecting rooms for myself and my partner and our 2 children ages 8 and 13. Can anyone recommend the best block to stay in which have interconnecting rooms? I've read hundreds of reviews and most people are saying to stay away from block 14. Whereas blocks 4, 5 and 6 seem to be the favourites.

Hope to hear from you soon.
