HI kazz i am going on tuesday for a week will give a full report when we get back probb on thursday the 2nd aug
yours the fatboy
Excellent, Thanks x
Yep we too are looking to stay in the rosamar basically as every other hotel we like is fully booked!!
Benidorm takes a right slagging off at times but it can't be that bad if all the good hotels are booked out. And I think some of the not so good places will all be booked up too.
Does anyone have an email address for the Rosamar.
The email address is reservas@hotelrosamar.com
There is also a Contact form on their website:

Everyone is entitled to their view, but remember what's one man's meat is another man's poison it's a 3* hotel catering for the masses.
Are there 2 hotel Rosamar's in Benidorm? because this hotel was refurbished in 2005 and when I read reviews about it being dirty and ready for refurbishment, I wonder if we are talking about the same hotel.?
I was in there last Xmas with Lizzie Dripping and also in April, we actually went and had a few days around the pool, we bought a sandwich/drink and there was no sunbed problem then, which is understandable at that time of the year.
The only thing I think they spoilt was the swimming pool, they sectioned it off with a concrete/tiled abstract type of thing with a waterfall, whereas before it was an oblong pool, ideal for the early morning serious swimmers.
Chose where you go the sunbed situation will be the same in the height of the season, the only people to blame are the people getting up at the crack of dawn to reserve a bed"¦the Spanish probably sit back and think you stupid sods, you are supposed to be on holiday and are getting up earlier than you do for work at home.
Oh lordy me, there are Spanish in the hotel and they cater for them, now there's a surprise"¦in Spain.!
Fatboy hit the nail on the head in his report, you speak to them like poo and they'll answer you back the same show them some respect, try and say please, thank you in Spanish and their whole demeanour changes towards you.
Entertainment a joke.? Well it usually is because the hotel's cannot compete with outside, afterall you are in Benidorm, the European capital of entertainment and it's rather sad to stay in the hotel every night when there is so much on offer outside. IMO !
I also wonder why they are charging the Brits for the use of the fitness room and not the Spanish? Could it be that the Spanish have already paid for the use of the facility in their booking/prices.?
This made me smile"¦I've just been on a Spanish site and they are complaining that there are too many foreigners in the hotel, they reserve the sunbeds and they suggest that the norms of the pool are enforced because people do what they want, they take in balls, inflatable boats, they do not shower before using the pool, they enter using footwear from off the street and bathe with T-shirts on
Yes, they are talking about us Brits.!
Go enjoy yourself Tony.
Sanjiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
She said there wasn't a gala night like we've experienced in other Spanish hotel and that you could have lunch for €7.

Thanks for everyones views, it puts our minds at rest....
I had emailed the hotel a few days before arrival with a request for a high floor overlooking the Calypso pool, but didn't receive a response.
The room was a good size with a double and a single bed, aircon could have been colder, but it did help a little. Food was very good with a lot of choice, a good salad bar and a carving station. Bread and butter pudding and custard every night.
Never went to the pool, but the beds were all taken by 8-9 with no-one lying on them. That's the Brits abroad for you.
Happy hour 7.30-8.30pm. You need at €20 deposit for the TV remote which is returned at the end of the holiday.
It's in a great location, very handy for all the main bars, and there's a supermarket and internet cafe about 300 metres away.

anyone know if the rooms have a kettle ? and also a room safe ?
There is a room safe and I think it was €2 a day plus a deposit for the key. There is a €20 deposit for the TV remote.
Any other questions, please ask as we're just back.

Hi my parents are staying here for christmas and have just noticed on their tickets they are in building 1A can anyone tell me if this hotel has an annex as well as the main hotel thanks.
Can't remember seeing an annexe when we were there in August, just one main building as far as I know.
Ive emailed asking for a southerly/westerly facing room but no response from them, so i was just wondering if anyone can tell me whos been there.
We get there at night, so i wont be able to see where the sun is.
