Bev Please make sure that your room is not on the right side of the hotel or you will be overlooking a very large building site. E mailing this hotel does not work as they don't bother replying (I have tried this on my last visit).
As Fatboy says, there are no rooms at the front or the back of the hotel.
Stood in front of the hotel, facing the hotel, the sun rises on your right hand side from behind the Sierra Helada mountains to the left of the cross and it slowly makes its way across the sky to set in the west, which will be the left side of the hotel.
People in the rooms on the right hand side of the hotel will wake up to sunshine on their balconies and the nearer the front entrance of the hotel, the longer you'll get the sun.
It's well into the afternoon before it hits the left side of the hotel and only those rooms positioned nearer the front entrance of the hotel, will get the full benefit from it as soon as it shines on that side, before it loses the majority of its heat to descend in the sky.

Or if you're facing the hotel, it will be on your left hand side and the majority of the external work for the 2 Gemelos Torres is virtually finished and now all the piledrivers and heafty machinery has gone, I would image the level of noise has reduced dramatically too.
Here's a good photo to show the shadow of the sun,..pity I couldn't just pinch the picture
I obviously don't know what time of day this was taken, but you can see the left side of the hotel is completely in the shadow, yet the pool is in the sun.

Gemelos 26, two residential towers near to the Hotel Rosamar.
These are "topped" and near completion, the windows are in and all the cranes dismantled and gone.
On the first picture on the right of the picture, one side of the hotel Rosamar is just in shot....these Torres look smart, if I win this Saturday's lottery, I know where I'd be living.

Who the Hell cares about what their hotel looks out over? If you insist on a front line view, I can understand that, but those of us (most) who prefer a good deal against a good view will be happy with most hotels in Benidorm.
I agree that construction noise might detract form the ambience, but if I (personally) wanted tranquillity I most certainly would not choose Benidorm. It is an awesome place with hotels and entertainment to suit a large range of people. Quiet is not a word I would associate with Benidorm.
I stayed at the Rosamar a few years ago before we bought our own apartment, and I thought it was great.
Sorry for the rant.
