sad sad sad !! said our goodbyes to Split and O/h tonight at the meet..and flossytindrawers. it was really horrible as we all flew out together (by chance) sat in front of them on the plane to colombo.. and have spent the last 5 months meeting up... will miss them terribly at the meets...always big smiles and welcoming faces..and 1st there!! and they have only missed 2 meets i think...

that said, it was a good meet and well attended, met a few new faces..incling nejulie and o/h and the foxes and o/h and friends, and lots of old faces...well not literally Linb and Davey!! also dragon07 and O/h, Fizzy2 and o/h and friend, , and our lovely newly engaged ht friends...by the way, 'he' will tell you who he (really) is on his return Monday!! split and o/h flossytindrawers (I missed beryl another honorory about to join!! who didnt come..maybe back in Uk?) and not forgetting our other honorory member there tonight ( ) whose ht name 'to be' escapes me... but he is now a regular at th meets and has been for some time... we also met up with the mystery people again last week who are always in EVERY Ht photo taken, its a standing joke now with everyone!! they (the couple) think its hilarious and are well known to us all now! infact they dropped me down some baby suncreams when they left last week.... i hope they join too..lets see!!

so thats about it for tonight.... except to say we have today started booking our train/bus tickets for our next travels around India and Nepal etc... getting excited .. sorry

yes still a lot of people coming but last week IC and O/h were in Hampi unforunately so they missed it, but there were still a good few of us last week, (25th) considering its near end of season... must have been more than 18 at a guess and i think i was told 15 the week before (18th) although we missed that week as my son was unwell. there are a lot of people who dont always put their name down but come anyway. Silent man and his wife came down last week from the south to attend the meet and i look forward to their report on how it was with the bus journey!! very brave of them and great meeting them both. Actually i havent uploaded any pics lately but maybe i will have a go its just it takes so long ...

Thanks for an enjoyable evening on the 25th and to Polly50 for the PM, sorry we did not make it to the Thai Oriental but I was not to good for a few days after the meet! must have been the honeybee No problems with the buses back to Majorda, although the husband of the lady who's guesthouse we stayed at is a taxi driver and he was not to impressed with us using the buses all the time, I suppose it didn't help me phoning him of a night to pick us up when the buses had stopped

Hi Silentman and silent O/h was so good meeting with you both and so sorry you couldnt make it to the Thai was a good night..look forward to your trip report (as promised remember!!!!) ..we had a great night tonight at Carvery, an intimate meet !! not hoards of us but nevertheless an excellent night... Robbie, iiantwoeyes, walks,Gemma33, goingtogoa, newbutt and Mike richardson and us not forgetting other halves I miss you all already as season is coming to an end and its been such fun all meeting up... still missing the old regulars... sorry split... didnt mean 'old' as in 'old'
