Unfortunately it doesn't say whether you have or haven't got your visa.
It just means they are in the post and you will have to wait until you open them for confirmation!!

i was sure they had been declined as they only arrived at vfs on wednesday morning and they came back today!

So i guess that they are not enforcing the 1month between visa rule....
I Emailed them on monday to ask them that question....they sent a reply saying they were
...
I also require a new visa for April...but my "old" visa only ran out on 24th February....do i wait until 24th March or risk sending for them now

personally id hang on till nearer the time to be sure, rather than risk losing the £80 odd quid.
then again, it worked for me?

thanks chilly, typical indian beureaucracy though isnt it.im sure people are forgetting though that its the indian government to blame, not the goan government!

these visa forms do my head in
Plesae help......
on form in asks for "port of arrival"....which is Mumbai, no problem.
Then it asks for "port of departure"....is this departure from England or from India back home
In the past ive had over a dozen visas...never had a problem...but terrified they will send it back as we are on a tight schedual due to the 1 month between visa rule...

Oh,right, 6 months multiple with a stamp on the bottom saying no return within 2 months.

Noggin, GMT as far as I know is correct - it means port of Departure when leaving India so as long as you are flying in and out of Mumbai then Mumbai is correct

You guys a lucky.We live in Turkey and have to fly at the ungodly hour of 08-00 to Ankara and then take a Taxi to the Embassy.By the time we have finished with flight prices,Taxis and Visa Fee's we are looking at 600 GBP's.They will not do a postal service and you have to pay in cash ( US Dollars ) One of us has to go back a week later to collect the Passports and Visa's so add another 200 GBP's to the costs.We are going to Goa in January but dreading the visit to Ankara which we have to do in December.Never mind Goa is worth it.
