Tony, true but at a serious cost.
Ian
It certainly is a serious cost. How long have you been doing this trip to get your visa to Goa?
Hi Tony.We don't go every year so this visit will be our third since coming to live in turkey.
Blimey, that IS dedication, I'm not sure I would still go if I had to spend an extra £600 in order to do so. Anyways, have a damn good time when you get there

HOW MANY??????????
Where on earth did you manage to find so many, I struggled to find just a few packs when I looked for you?
Fizz

I visited every "supermarket" and corner shop in north Goa....
Made my best "find" at Newtons...they were loading the shelfs as i went in...i emptied it ASAP..

Going back in April....will try even more...

Good news for those that may want to "double up" next season.
Good news for those that may want to "double up" next season.
That seems much fairer.
Hi eddie thanks for the info, that seems a lot better.:) Gel
I was given the news last Sunday that the 2 mth rule was scrapped by my neighbour who is vice President of the Welcome group and therefore had the breaking news before hand... but despite being told to spread the news i didnt want to post it until it was in black and white!!! and now it seems it is yippee
Reading the article, it says the government is "actively considering several new proposals", one of which is to limit visits to 3 times per visa and under that system, the two-month cooling off period would no longer apply.
It doesn't actually say that the 2 month rule is no longer in place.
VFS website is still saying that you need 2 months between visits - which doesn't mean a lot, I know.
things do take time to filter through out here though!! and maybe the decisions are already made ...but who knows ..
I do hope that they get this sorted out (and communicated) fairly quickly so that people who do like to take more than one holiday or those long stayers who pop back to the UK at Christmas know exactly where they stand and can make travel arrangements.
Although we've been twice this season, the 2 month rule didn't affect us - but that was pure luck as we were OK by 14 days.
It's just a pity that this poorly thought-through rule was introduced with little notice and ruined quite a lot of people's plans and cost them significant amount of money and upset.

What about the 2 month gap between visas ?....(not allowing you to apply for a new visa within 2 months of your old visa running out)..
noggin you couldnt apply within one mth of it expiring, the 2 mth gap was between visits... i am unsure what has happened to the one mth wait rule !!! no doubt all will be made clear in due course!!
Has anyone seen the comments beneath the above link - on the hindustantimes site?
