Hi Davnic11, I printed off a checklist for both visa applications, however, I nearly forgot to print off the Declaration. As a precaution, I also enclosed a copy of each receipt.

:cheers Thank you for your quick reply! Where do I get the check list from? Also, I didn't print out the receipt when I paid, I just made a note of the reference number, is there anywhere I can get a copy of the receipt?

Found the declaration and the checklist, now just need to find out where I can get the pesky receipt for payment from! :cry :cry Any help appreciated.

davnic I Don't think its possible to reprint a copy of the receipt only the application form :(

If I were you i would enclose a brief letter with your application giving your GBRL file number ( which is printed on the application form anyway) and the transaction ID starting W00 from your receipt.

They must be able to retrieve the details, I think maybe having a copy just makes it easy for them ie each application either has payment by postaal order or online receipt, good luck

as an after thought were does it say that you need to enclose a copy of the online receipt? we have been doing this for years on the forum but looking at the check list i can't see it http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk/touristvisa_CheckList.html :duh

Brilliant, will do that, thank you. :cheers

I've looked at the checklist and it doesn't say it anywhere, but I've noticed a couple of postings on here that say to enclose the receipt. I'll enclose a letter, as suggested.

I think at one time you needed to enclose a copy of the receipt as proof of payment. We sent copies for just in case purposes as we didn't want the visa people rejecting our applications for thinking we had not paid.

I think that we all get a bit paranoid over the whole question of visa's, which is not helped by the continual alteration in the application proccedure and rules.

Most of us have already paid out large amounts of money for our holidays either in deposits or airfares and we then have to juggle a 6 month window into which to apply and obtain our visa's, I have to admit sometimes to thinking is it worth all the hassle but then, whats better than spending 6 weeks in the sun being waited on hand and foot without a care in the world with cheap food, drink and good company, no contest roll on 9 January :glynis :sun2

As it's been 2 years since my last visit to Goa was checking all the bits on visa site and it says under travel advisory to print and fill a health screening card, I think it was to do with the swine flu outbreak a while back, does this still need to be done or are they given out on the flight over? :think Also, will probably use their return service, I take it a SDE should be included with the passport etc when sent, is that correct? I hate this part of going to India :banghead:

What link are people using to check their application? I can only find one to track your passport.

That's the one I've been using. No entry showing, despite applications being signed for on Wednesday.

Think you will find that it only appears after they open your envelope and start to process your application, took from last tuesday when they received mine until friday for it to appear :tup

So Tuesday to Friday, should equal Wednesday to Monday, so they should appear at some point today.

Oooh, what a palarva!!

it keeps us all on our toes. i know some people have said its getting too much but for me ill keep stressing every year. the sense of relief when it all goes through is better than a night out on the beer. cannot wait for 4 weeks on friday. and i can forget visas for another 12 months.
:cheers :tup :sun2

Progress:

Your visa application has been pre-checked and processed atApplication Center London-Hayes on 10-Oct-2011.

They were received on 5th October, but I see on the VFS website that Thursday 6th October was an Indian holiday.

Hopefully I'm getting closer!!!
