Do you think it was cause issues if I put my mum's address on the return one? I'm never in when the postman does his rounds.
Yes Mobor we did and as long as there special delivery envelopes and prepaid was not a problem, sorry i dont know about different delivery address though. Good luck
Oh well. It's done now. Fingers crossed.
post office says it has been delivered to Hayes. first stage complete. waiting for sms message to say vfs has received it.
Stage 2 complete. Delivered from Hayes to VFS.
Didn't bother with the SMS at £1.50 per message.
Stage 3 complete. Signature of person from VFS appearing on Post Office tracking system
It's all a bit nerve wracking isn't it Mobor. I will be like you when I apply for ours at the end of October, checking twice a day before I can breathe easy again even though I know I have never had any problems. Having said that though, last year I was issued with a 3 month single entry visa for the first time in 11 years and this year I want a 6 month one for a visit to Goa for 3 weeks in December and then a visit for 16 days in April to tour Northern India. Hope nothing goes wrong.
I think this is my 12th visa, and every year I go through this. I keep doubting myself, and in one breath say, well it's always been alright before, and then I think, yeah, but surely odds are I have to do it wrong eventually?
I think I preferred the pen and paper method. (As long as you remembered to use a black pen!!!) And I also preferred being able to go to London and sit and wait for a same day return.
Just think of the beach that will be waiting for you when you get there. It will all be worth it.

awaiging stage 4 and it appearing on the VFS system

ps this is my 14th time ive done this and it still gets me worried
Crikey. I was hoping to have it back with me within 10 days!!!
After reading all the posts on here about new visa applications and now really stressed, I am about to do ours. Can someone confirm that I can complete them on one computer and then go back into the application on a different one to print off? Having printer problems, I want to be able to print them off, hopefully tomorrow, at work. Thanks.

you might have but it says it can take up to that time when its busy. and it is beginning of season.
and pol i can see no reason why you cannot do that cos its like logging in from anywhere else.but havnt tried that myself yet. have just tried from another computer and because i have completed and got a final application number it wont let me retrieve it. but i always go to print and then save to hdd. then you can put the pdf file onto a key and you can print from any pc. just a thought.

Would be good to know if any apps get rejected by doing this.
had to get new ones as i only had english passport size photos left
What size are they spike? they changed to 2"x2" last year I think round about nov, any of the old size which it sounds like you may have are being rejected, you can see the new specification here
Well This year i am going to the local asian travel agent who can sort the visa's out for us all you need is your passport and your info, cost is 60 pound done and dusted, am taking the easy way out this time he he he.
visa back only 8 days
Silentman - We had the 2"x2" from last season so still got 4 pics left each, stupid money to shell out if you can't use the ones left over..
Taking of those odd size pictures I was in a larger Post Office (located with in a shop) today and they had that size of picture machine available, £4.99 for 6 pictures so it might be worth taking a look in that style of Post Office if you can't find somewhere for them.
We paid £7 for 4 2" photographs. We had them taken in a 'photo me' booth although the price on the booth showed £5 when we selected the new visa photograph option the price changed to £7. It was still cheaper than the price quoted by Jessops and Timpsons.
