Unless they need both procedures may as well jusy download the visa form, fill in by hand and post as in the "good old days"
Can anybody tell me the real benefits of online application when you still have to dowload and post in any case.

If you apply by post you will have extra cost of Postal order (10% of face value max £10) on line you can pay by Credit or debit card and your track application, apart from that I can't see any difference.
Mids
Posted our visa applications to Hayes on Tuesday and enclosed pre paid special delivery envelope for the return, postman delivered them 10.00am Saturday morning, couldn't believe it - thought we must have filled them in wrong and that they were being returned but no the visas are in the passports. Thought last year was quick about nine days but have to give praise were its due a great service this year. We always used to go to visa surgeries and probably still would if we could as we dont like letting our passports out of our sight. Roll on 10th December for six weeks
If applying in person, do you need to schedule an appointment? The system isn't letting me!
Martin_d. You can just turn up with the form filled out but you will be in a queue. The people with appointments are seen quickly .

Thanks
Martin I went along to the new Visa Office in Edinburgh last season. I had the completed forms with me. When you go up the stairs you are greeted by a guy at the desk. On arrival he checks over your form and makes any small amendments for you. You then get a number and when your number is called you go to the main desk. I dont think I even waited an hour, very fast, I am sure you will have no problems.
ready to get pics done for my visa form question is-GLASSES on or GLASSES off

Thanks, is it still cash only or can you pay by card?
glasses off i think
Hi I had mine done with my glasses on and visa came back no probs.I think they've got to be off for passport photos.
Still not too sure about glasses on or glasses off. I have them on on my passport
I have to wear mine every waking moment so that's how I have the photos done and hope for the best!
I am having a bit of trouble filling out the visa electronic form. Why do they have to make is so complicated and long?!
The question that I am not sure on is "place of issue as stated in your passport". I can't see anywhere on my passport where it was issued. I originally thought it was UKPA but then this question appears later on in the form.
Also what is the best thing to put for the amount of entries? Last time we went to Goa I don't think there was a choice and on my visa in my passport it just shows as Multiple. Do you know if the cost is the same for single and multiple? If so then we will just go for multiple.
Thanks for your help with this. I will be glad once it's all finished and sent off!!
We filled in UKPA both times on our applications and the passports came back with visas in just four days
Hi on ours we put UKPA and Peterbourgh as place of issue.came back in 4 days.Hope this helps
I posted the dummy page of the Visa application that helped tremendously when we visited Goa in 2009 on my website. Click the link and scroll down a litle way and a fully answered and filled in form is there. Hope this helps and just ignore the bird pictures!

Sleeper,
lovely to see our old room again. - we stayed in Room 261 at the MD last Christmas.
Sorry
Hi Dave's Wife
That's really scary!
I hope it was not you who damaged all but one of the plug sockets in the room....LOL! Coincidentally was the window that overlooked the back of the hotel covered back then? Wonder if they still will be next year.
