Popped mine in the Post Office yesterday. Should arrive with VFS about now. The countdown begins.
Good news Preacher. What a weight of your mind when you open the mail and it has a Visa in it, I always start to panic and think i filled it in wrong.
ours went off in the post yesterday, office not open today so get them monday,i always panic till they are back in my hands
It's certainly taken a lot off my mind, hope the weather improves for you, and have a great time let us know how it goes,
The Preacher.

Guess I shouldn't complain though at least it has arrived safely so hopefully once the weekend is out of the way it shouldn't take to long before I get it back - fingers crossed.
Brilliant news for all those who have got their visas back and good luck to all those awaiting theirs
Well after waiting in all day they have tried to deliver to the wrong address! I now have to wait in all day Monday as they have gone back to the depot to be redelivered
I dont mind the rain in Goa as i did spend from June till March in Goa a few years back < 1 year visa>. Its just trying to get washing dry even with the 2 ring gas cooker on it still didnt dry and that annoys me. As long as electric doesnt go off and the Butter is back on sale i be happy as it beats sitting in the Uk as it seems to be doom and gloom.
Post them tommorrow and we'll see how long it takes. I reckon I'll get them back within the week !
Have to admit I fell at the final fence with the application and had started to trim the white background off the passport photos O/h read the small print as I was doing it so my photo has a white background on two side only , hers is fine !
Now if they get rejected for that.......
dont worry. just read form and i think that the actual photo has to be taken against a white background. the white bit round the sides is not required.
wouldnt it be so much easier if they issued a tourist visa that lasted 5 years with a max individual visit per year of 6 months?whats everybody else think
smudger2
Too simple smudger, they like to complicate everything Fizz
Do we have to wait in for the return delivery then? When Royal Mail try to deliver something which needs a signature and I'm not in, they take it back to the delivery office a couple of miles away and I go and collect it.
I assume you're referring to elliebee's post:
Well after waiting in all day they have tried to deliver to the wrong address! I now have to wait in all day Monday as they have gone back to the depot to be redelivered
Royal Mail Special Delivery has nothing to do with the Indian visa process so the postman should deal with your letter in the same way as anything being sent by the same method.
i.e. if you're not in, they should leave a card and take it back to the depot.
I think there are a number of options on the card for redelivery - one of which is for you to collect later from the depot. I think you can also arrange for it to be redelivered - which is perhaps what Elliebee has done.
Thanks PPC. Didn't want to spend a whole day waiting for the sometimes working, sometimes not, doorbell to ring. I'm quite happy to drive down to the depot before work. As long as I get the blooming things! Currently showing as under process on the system, so moving along!
Moborone, if you have filled in your form online and opted for the pre payment envolope for the VFS to send it back im afraid you will have to be in, or at least someone to be there to recieve them on your behalf - for this they will need a letter from you plus some form of YOUR ID. VFS are no longer using Royal Mail. Visa's are returned using DX Secure which is a courier service.
Thats going to cause problems. I am out all day too and live nowhere near any collection point. Hopefully this will deliver Saturdays.
They will txt you to say when they are delivering, if you want an alternate time you can phone or go to the DX secure website to arrange this.
