We apparently have booked a holiday twice through "On the Beach" holidays, they have provided two booking confirmation numbers, yet all their correspondence indicates that they have cancelled them. Telephone calls to their call centre using names & postcode have also confirmed that no booking exists... yet they have taken one lot of cash. (£1500) and are quoting that we must pay the full amount as cancellation feeas the holiday is less than 12 weeks away.
The problem is that following their cancellation notifcations and telephone confirmation that no booking existed we booked exactly the same holiday - venue- flight - etc with another company for which we are happy with. We therefore find ourselves going on two holidays in the same week to the same location.
Has anyone else experienced this and how did you get out of it?
Does anyone have experience of On the Beach Holidays?
We've been told by our insurers that we are also unable to sell the holiday on as we will be unable to change the names on flight and accomodation tickets.
