Don't think there's anyway the short runway at Dabolim can take A330 or 747's :yikes

One of last seasons Russian Charterers was using a Boeing 747 Jumbo last season, it was parked right up at the terminal in Dec., when we were flying up to Mumbai, so runway length wont be a problem.

We are flying with Thomas Cook to Dabolim on 27th December and I'm led to believe it's an A330 airbus they operate on that route.

We have booked flights Manchester to Goa with Kingfisher (BMI from MAN to LHR)our flights are via Heathrow and this time we thought we would try via Bangalore. Any advise on the what the transfer through Bangalore airport is like?. Leaving Manchester 27th Nov and returning depart Goa 19th Dec. Staying in Candolim rented an apartment at Sanfrancisco Holiday homes. We'll try and make one of the HT meets.

I am sure when they say direct to Goa - it is via Mumbai or Bangalore.
It would be wonderful if they did fly straight into Goa. Kingfisher is a fabulous flight.

A direct flight to anywhere doesn't mean non stop. I think you will find that the flights with Kingfisher are direct in that they take you direct to Goa but they are not non stop - they will be via either Mumbai or Bangalore.

These are non stop and it tells you that on the flights page Travel supermarket.

Hi

It looks to me like a fault by netflights.com

I searched for flights on travelmarkets.com and netflights came up with "non stop" flights to Goa, been owned by Thomas cook I thought it would be a charter so was amazed to find it was with Kingfisher but later when I went to their site I found they did not exist

I am sorry that I missed led everyone but had heard rumours that Kingfisher was going to fly direct and thought I had found that the first flights

The only saving grace is the price of £363 with kingfisher is a very good deal, the Kingfisher site is quoting £410 plus

Well according to travel supermarket, you are right ,the flights are still there, with prices but no times yet and are non stop,so dont know whats going on,will have to wait and see :que
No flights are direct, they were showing non stop but have now changed to via Mumbi :(

we went via Bangalore in january and my suitcase was left behind. the reason being that the prop plane used to Goa from there is very small (about 68 seats) and doesn't have the capacity and weight for all luggage that the international planes have, therefore some suitcases have to be held back. they are then sent to Mumbai to come down on the flight from there the next morning, and Kingfisher deliver the suitcases to everyone at their accommodation, got mine between 1 to 1.30 lunchtime. I hadn't packed a change of clothes or toiletries though so a lesson learnt. We are flying with Kingfisher again in December and will pack these in my hand luggage.
I am sure it does state on the Kingfisher website in the small print (T & C's) that they have the right to do this. Don't think it happens if you go via Mumbai as the plane used from there to Goa is much bigger.

Thanks for the info - that's very useful.

If they do start flying direct I wonder what they would charge to change the tickets!

That's great Gel - thanks, I'm at work so making calls like that is not easy at moment. I do have instant access to the internet though :)
