I wouldn't worry too much... there isn't much point ! November sounds like a crunch time as they have to pay for a huge outstanding fuel bill apparently, however the owner sounded confident that all is well.
You can still book via Bangalore if you go on their web site and the price difference is small vs going via Mumbai, yet on Southall it's quite considerable ( It is still available on the Southall site if you check the higher priced options).
I decided to go with Qatar, not because of the ??? over Kingfisher but because it's easier by far for me to go to Manchester than Heathrow. Add that to the fact that there is a question about what happens to luggage on an internal flight, especially on the Bangalore run as they use smaller aircraft plus Mombai sounds like hard work too.
Kingfisher was dearer too but the planes look superb and the luggage allowance is incredible ! ( Maybe that's why the fuel bill is so high !!!!)
If you booked through Southall you are protected against any losses, as you would be if you paid by credit card so keep cool.
Hope all will be well for you
cheers

Kingfisher are cancelling their London-Bangalor-London flights from the 15th September for three months due to poor bookings and are allegedly rebooking people via Mumbai

Info taken from a small note on the web site under media centre/ press release/ Kingfisher Airlines Announces Roadmap

Sorry since I posted I have now seen the other post about this. I should have gone to specsavers

We are booked on the 15 December Goa- Bangalore- London flight which is still supposed to be flying but am not hopeful as only yesterday we tried to book a friend on the same flight and was told she would be better off going via Mumbai as the Bangalor journey was now over £200 more expensive which does not seem to be the best way to promote an under booked service

Who knows we could be flying together after all, we only booked via Bangalore because it left Goa at better time

I have received a reply from Southall Travel - basically saying that they have not yet officially been informed byt the airline as yet, but they will deal with things in 'timely and efficient manner' if they do.

Reading headlines further it looks like it might just be for September, October and November.

fingers crossed!!

I would have thought the main reason any one would have gone via Bangalore would have been to get a later morning flight going home. 6.30am for Mumbai is a bit of a nightmare if you have to be at the airport 3 hours beforehand.
I would imagine though that anyone who booked via Bangalore will be offered the Mumbai flight as an alternative so it's not as if it's a disaster.
Look on the bright side, you may get an upgrade :) or at the very least another free drink :(

We booked Banglore as we didn't fancy changing airports, never flown scheduled before. the later departure time was in it's favour as well.

I have to say and upgrade would be wonderful - but I won't hold my breath

Cheers :cheers

You do not have to be at the airport 3 hours before departure........it is an Internal Flight.

The normal requirement is 1 hour.

Certainly with the similar Jet flight, 45 mins to 1 hour has always proved ample.

That's a relief for anyone catching this flight ! What happens to the bags , do they go straight through to Heathrow ?

I dont mind going via Mumbai but do mind the fact that when I booked the Mumbai route was £70 cheaper ! I chose bangalore for the better times. Bet they wont be too quick to refund me either.

They certainly do on the Jet flight.
