Splendid information there Johnny, thanks for taking the time to share it.
I have seen incoming luggage X-rayed before, Banjul airport Gambia. They are more concerned with confiscating excess duty free's (which no doubt find's it way to the beach sellers along with the newspapers collected off the planes) than security, because on the way out they make do with a visual check !

Ive just read on another forum that someone who was flying withh Kingfisher via Bangalore in January, has been told that all Bangalore flights London - Bangalore - Goa have now been cancelled (not just suspended for three months). Has anyone else heard this? I have emailed Southall Travel who have said that if there are any changes, they will tell me in a timely manner!

Money issues with the carrier was first reported in this forum around March of this year and is on going. Indian Government also blamed apparently.

It's not free as such, it's paid for as part of your flight ticket. It's standard on many full-fare schedule airlines to have complimentory drinks including alcohol throughout the flight. It's one of the reasons prices are slightly higher than other airlines.

I'm sure it's here somewhere but can't find it :duh

..... so can anyone tell me the luggage allowance for Kingfisher internal flights? Mainly Kingfisher red as all the others are normal Kingfisher.

Thanks

We are travelling Heathrow-Mumbai-Goa return and have 45kg printed on each leg of our ticket, if your only using them for internal flights I think its 25 KG.

Here are the numbers of the UK call centres, they should answer your query and if you are booked with them you can reserve your seats free of charge

0 800 047 0810
0 843 080 1010

celcat,

Baggage allowances are listed on Kingfishers website. However, if you're travelling on a through ticket from an international destination, they should allow the extra allowance from the international sectors on the domestic. It might be worth giving them a call to clarify.

Hey got here now .Flew with Kingfisher from Heathrow .They are very strict on luggage allowance so dont let 1 case go over 30klo. The food on the flight is really awful.Tea and Coffee is like its been brewed for hours . Food is tasteless. Films on tv are all rubbish.Seats are really hard. I sat with a Goan guy all the way and he was so interesting and that was the only good thing about the flight. Oh toilets were filthy !
KIngfisher from Bombay to Goa was perfect.
I always travel with Jet and next season i will fly with Jet again.
Oh its sunny here but rained last night and its humid and very quiet which is nice for me .

Thanks every one for their kind wishes. Never again will i fly Kingfisher. I have always flew Jet but thought i would give Kingfisher a go.No suitcase can weigh over 30 klo and they are very strict on that. At least 8 people had to re arrange their suitcases to make the over weight one weigh 30 klo and they have special scale just for you to do that. My god the food on the Heathrow- Bombay journey i swear was brought in from Bombay and re heated as not one meal was any good . and the coffee / tea was like it had been brewed all day !On Jet i loved the food and eat anything but kingfisher the menu looks good but the food was vile.Bombay -Goa the food was excellent.
Sunny again today and still a bit humid.
