Hi everyone..........
Ok, the Kef ABC is due to open June 13th......according to F/C!
(yeah right!)

Can I just add.........

My intention when posting the Kef link was not to scare the Be-jesus out of everyone and make everyone cancel their holidays! I did it because I (my opinion) beleive that F/C as a company are having ALL their customers on, whilst reaping the intrest from our money (that they have had for up to 8 months from some people). I have always stated when mentioning Kef ABC that the building work has always APPEARED to be further behind than the Kos site!
Please please please do not cancel your holidays on the basis of photo's from another island!
Remember that this is your holiday and if you choose to cancel I want you to be doing it for the right reasons.......

dont panic squeeky, think we were all thinking of moving somewhere else before the kef pics, I know I was anyway. I looked at the Coral Reef hotel in Eqypt and was all up for that until I saw the temp for June 40 degrees - thats far too hot for my 19 month baby.

thats ok for you people going later us 24th ers are being told if we cancel we will have to pay a 50% charge if we cancel so we have to wait fo f###. choice to cancel us but still hpoing it will be ready by some miracle

Michelle, I am also going to the Pegasos but we go May 10 we got a whopping 3000 between three families difference, like you it wasnt my first choice either but ive never been to Turkey so will wait till I have been to judge, good luck to you and hope it works out, if you check the Pegasos Palace forum on the 20th May well be back and Ill let you have my honest opinion of what its like, they had bad reviews beginning of last year but I have spoke to a few people on the forum who went towards the end of last year and loved it and are going back.

I'm just wondering when we will be officially informed about the lack of watersports facilities - my guess is a letter sometime around Thursday this week so it'll be within 28 days of departure and they can try and charge 70% holiday cost to change.

we are due to go on the 19 july, first choice have refused to move us!!!!!

we were also due at the holiday village in costa del sol when it first should have opened

first choice sent a letter 10 days before our holiday, informing us it was not built properly, they did not offer compensation, or try in any way to find us a new holiday....................

i personally do not want to go here any more, no beach facilities, no horse riding, etc...................i have not given up yet, but first choice dont seem to ever answer there phones!

The 50% - 70% total holiday costs is only for complete cancellation by yourselves. If you change holiday it will just be an admin fee and hopefully no other increase in holiday price through differences.

BUT ive just read in the T&C at the back of the brochure, which state if you change your:

Holiday date

Holiday duration

Holiday Accommodation

Change flight

The admin cost per person is £20

this then rises to £40 if your departure date is within 55-29 days

£50 per person - 28-22 days

cancellation 90% 14-4 days before departure.

So as we have only 51 days till we go we are now in the £40 per person bracket which for us all is £320 just to change the holiday.

Its basically pay that plus any extra in holiday difference, or sit and wait to be cancelled (asap) or go to fawlty towers.

Michelle we changed our holiday not cancelled and we were only charged 20 pounds each which was deducted from a refund of 400 pounds anyway and they honoured our free child place. i think something sinister is happening with kabc and the sheer mention of its name gets fc to refund or help you move, theyve been great to us and we have come of better than if we were cancelled. we are going to tunisia in june now and my advice would be to move now rather than wait until they cancel you as places are dissappearing fast. good luck to you all.

Lockwood - your right to have only been charged £20 per person as you changed your holiday with more than 55 days before departure, our holiday is now only 50 days away so will incur a cost of £40 per person. Also we are supposidly going for 10 days to KABC, so no looking through the brochure we are restricted to holidays that cater for 10 days and think we will either end up with just one week somewhere or paying out extra for 2 weeks, roll on 9am when I make my call, keep you posted.

methinks that at 9am the FC Customer Services line will be ringing red hot. Make sure everyone updates as to the position as can all use each other as examples. By tonight I envisage several extra pages on this forum! Good luck everyone.

Has anybody else recieved the leaflet from first choice today advertising the aqua beach clubs. saying first dept may 2007? :shock:
