picked kos abc because it sounded so great (I have a 14 and a 4 year old which can sometimes prove difficult to entertain at the same time!)
Was somebody asking about where it was a 4* - I still have the old brochure from when we booked this back in June 05 with this stated, picked a new one up today and is a 3* ??? Don't know why, if anybody does, please let us know. I have also priced the holiday today for which I paid £2200 approx 10 months ago, if I booked today it would only have cost me £1900??? Thought you got a good deal if you booked eary - maybe not!

jo 123 - Is your 14 yr old a boy or girl? I too have a 14 yr old (girl) and go on 14th June. We too booked when the brochure was advertising it as 4* (we too still have the old brochure) we received letters a while ago stating it had been downgraded to a 3*, this apparently was because FC looked into hotels in the area and decided that the KABC warranted a 3* now, in other words the 4* hotels nearby are fantastic and the KABC wont be lol

Hi first time on here but bin an avid reader since we booked last August. We went through a similar thing last year. We booked to go to club Oceania in halkidiki. It was a new build and I read reports with worry. People who went in May experienced problems. We went August and was best holiday ever which is why we are taking a chance with this.

The oceania in Halkidi looks lovely - thats one of the ones we want to go to if they cancel the KABC (along with a handful of other really expensive ones lol) was it really nice there?

Just looked back to the beginning of this forum and it was around beginning of June 05 that we started to receive the 3* letters, blimey hasnt time flown.l

i paid 2200 for my hubby, myself and 11yr old. Know what you mean about trying to cater for all as my other daughter is 20, this is the first year that she wont have been with us and it has always proved difficult to keep both girls happy. Managed perfectly at mexico last may and didnt cost much more than this!!!! I let my youngest daughter choose this holiday she wanted to go because all the facilities looked fabulous....It WILL be a memorable holiday whatever!! as long as theres a pool and other children for her to play with shell be happy...

hi michelle, my 14 year old is a boy and and my 4 year old is a girl. I didn't receive any letters letting us know that it had been downgraded - however we have received two invoices, the first being for £2400 at time of booking and then we received an invoice in March for £2200 - didn't realise price difference between the two until we dug everything out this weekend in a panic after finding this forum!! We have friends going out on the 21st June to kos abc who are due to pay their balance on Wednesday -spoken to them today and they don't know what to do - pay for it and hope for the best like the rest of us or cut their losses - any suggestions??

Wonder if SP55 has been down to take any more pictures, it would be great to see it improved from the last ones. Certainly give us all a boost!

It would be good if our entertainment rep Matt could take some pics when he has settled in after 10th May.I supose FC would'nt aprove of this though.

sounds positive that fc are sending a rep out (Matt) on the 10th - I only hope this is to set up entertainment and not help out digging pools lol !!

Hi all, its good to hear from mike the entertainment rep for kabc but call me paranoid but hav'nt you all heard the term" patsy ". first choice are really panicking now as they face a large number of disgruntled customers who they keep trying to fob off but we are all forming a strong alliance against fc to stand up for our rights ,but instead of sorting all these problems out before they get worse, they just happen to hear about this forum and send one of their employees on it to try to calm you all down instead. which seems to have worked but it doesnt help the fact that kabc isnt ready yet and may not beand even if it is what facilities will it have or not. have you all not read last years reports on the then new pegasus palace with pools not even filled with water and bars with no food or drink etc. good luck to anyone who tries to take on the mighty fc.theyve got our money and will stop at nothing to refund even part of it.
