I have tried to send emails to first choice, not attachments actual emails and well they appear to be getting tricky now as they replied back telling me that they cannot read the mail, yet guess what at the bottom of their reply is a copy of my email sent.
I will keep trying though.
If they do , then we can exchange email add and they can all have a bit of fun getting to know each other before we go ..
Karen...
1. Please note that the First Choice sun rating is 3 sun plus and not 4 sun, as advertised. 2. Horse riding is not available at the Kos Aqua Beach Club 3. water skiing, banana boats, ringos and paragliding are no longer available.
How much can they change before it becomes acceptable I wonder?
If the water park is not fully operational then we're all stuffed (well the kids are).
I've had no contact from FC apart from pay the balance, one of the reasons we booked here was horse riding for my daughter, and the water sports for my sons. Can't tell you how much I'm pi**d off.
R
I agree with you River, the situation is getting ridiculous and I'm wondering how much they are really expecting us to accept??? My daughter was looking forward to trying the horse riding too, and my son and partner the watersports. My children will be bitterly disappointed if the water slides etc are not up and running properly when we get there (or should I say 'if we get there') on the 31st. The huge water park was a big factor in us booking there.
It seems that all the little things are disapperaing, but i am still being the eternal optimist and will be going 24th and everything will be ready
Unfortunately all a lot of us seem to be able to do is sit with our fingers crossed for now
Sam - just checked my brochure and yes there is supposed to be an American Grill, Greek Taverna, and a A La Carte Roof Top Italian Restaurant.
Not banking on any of the above, or watersports, just hope there's a sunbed and a pool and a bar!!!!!
Julie
Does anyone know if I wanted to change my accomodation if this would be treated as a cancellation or an admin fee, I fly out on 14th June (hopefully!) and fc have advised me it would cost me 50% of my holiday cost (cancellation fee) although when I read their terms and conditions last night, I read it that it would be charged as admin fee (£40 pp) ??
In the new brochure there is no mention of an american grill at all so thats obvously been pulled too.
It's getting ridiculous, we won't know what to expect when we get there!!!!!!!!
im cool with it all now, whatever until i get there, lets face it guys theres nothing we can do about it until we get there anyway, im just expecting it to be like the artists impressions(Gud eh?) obviously yhere will be a few teething problems but hopefully itll be things like, plants needeing to be planted, and we might have to unwrap our own sunbeds around the pool. Itll be like christmas!!!! the sun will be shining, there will be plenty of booze, and if the worst comes to the worst we can make our own entertainment!!!!
Sam xx
Take it up with fc when we get back!
Nick Knowles (DIY SOS) wants your help, questions, challenges and advice. Following on from holiday-hit, Departure Lounge, he's presenting a new series for BBC One, going on air in May, but it's you, the holiday-taking audience, who'll set his agenda.
Nick wants to hear from you, he wants your travel questions, your challenges, your ideas about taking a great holiday, to hear about your holiday experiences, good and bad.
We're also keen to hear from those of you who are going on holiday before the end of June. Where are you going? How long are you going for? Are you going with your children? How much have you paid for your holiday? Are you anxious about any element of that holiday? Perhaps we can help with those anxieties.
Holiday alternative
For example, if you always go on holiday to the same place every year, tell us about that place and what the usual cost of your holiday is. Nick and the team will try to come up with an extraordinary alternative for you - instead of two weeks in Spain, you could be going to South Africa with us.
Alternatively, you might be thinking about visiting a destination that may just be past its sell-by-date, so do you want to know: would Croatia be a good, similarly priced, sunny and fun alternative to the Costas?
Bad experience?
Not everyone has a great time on holiday, we want to hear about your experiences:- If you've had an awful time at a reputable hotel tell us about that.
- If you're single, you'll know all about the 'single room' supplement, but do you have other examples from your holidays where being single has cost you an excessive amount?
- What are your experiences of holidaying with school-aged children? Have you tried travelling during term-time to avoid paying the high prices during the summer holidays?
Whatever the issue or problem, let us know and we will try to investigate.
Do you need an 'International Rescue'?
- Are you anxious about a holiday you are about to go on OR are you on holiday already and having a disastrous time?
We're here to help; contact us and tell us what the problem is and let's see if our crack holiday task force can solve it.
Challenge Nick
Maybe you'd like to see a famous New Yorker's guide to that city. Can Nick organise it? Maybe you're planning to get married in Las Vegas, but can you just turn up and hope to get the best tickets to the best show in town as a celebration on your honeymoon? Nick will fly there and find out, and if he can, then you can.
Nick and the team are planning weekly visits to short-haul destinations served by the budget airlines - Easyjet, BMI Baby, Flybe, Ryanair etc - BUT we'd like your advice on what to do when we get there. This is your chance to tell US what is best AND worst about a destination.
So if you've been to Genoa, Gdänsk, Krakow, Bergerac, Oslo, Brno, Ljubljana, Split or anywhere else to which the budget airlines fly, then tell us where our reporters should stay, what they should not miss while they're there and where they should eat, drink and be merry...
This is your show, get in contact and we’ll make sure YOU are the stars.
Get in touch
All you need to do is email us at holiday@bbc.co.uk. Please put FAO of Nick Knowles Programme in the subject line to ensure that it reaches us.
Thanks!
going to buy a few holiday essentials now everyone is back in holiday mode!!! catch u all later
I think everybody where possible should send an email and maybe just maybe it will help us get out answers and also wake FC up to the fact that by ignoring us we will not go away.
Do you all feel as though your on a rollercoaster ride at the mo? I do I feel like one minute im really up on a high and positive that everything is going to be ok, then the next im worrying like mad, it really dont help that my friend went to PP last June 6th, and what they had to put up with, I keep thinking FC wouldnt make the same mistake again surely.
Also my kids are up for chatting with those who are going on 14th June, I have Daniella 14 & Rhiannon 10 (plus the baby 19 months but obviously he cant type lol) it be great for them to get to know others their age, PM me for email or MSN details.
just going now, but my daughter jessie has said that shed like to chat to people going 24th or close to also. She is 11years....
I have just emailed the BBC with full details of the probs we've all been going through with the challenge for Nick - Will it be open - or not?
I have given them a link to this forum and sent the photos - so we'll just have to wait and see.
I did state that they would probably receive other emails regarding the Kos ABC - so the more of us that contact them, the more likely they will take this challenge on board.
Need a stiff drink now
Julie
