Well we've gone and done it. Booked to go 23rd May 07. Couldn't resist the price £1489 for two adults and one child with a late checkout.

We are going to the Pegasus Palace on the 25th May and after watching this site for the last year we are now really looking forward to it. We were going to wait until we got home before booking next years but we really need the free child places. Everywhere else was coming back at £1200 - £1300 self catering.

When we booked (Eclipse on-line) it told us about the restaurants and bars. The horse riding is still being advertised for next year.

As long as there are kids clubs and some sort of entertainment we will be happy.

If it turns out to be a disaster I can blame hubby and i'm sure he will be quite happy to tell everyone it was my fault

Hi Themcs, i dont think there will be any problems for next year. The problems are all to do with this being a new build that is delayed on opening, and the non information from FC on the status of the build. I reckon you'll have a great time next year

Could you tell me more about the kids den you had in Pegasus?

My son is itching to know about the room and we can't find any information anywhere!

They are supposed to come with TV and playstation 2? Did yours and what about games for them? Do you have to hire them or do you recommend taking his own games?

Also does the TV recieve english channels or english speaking cartoons? Even a holiday can't keep him away!

When we read the brocure, it reads that if we have a kids den, we get kingsized bed. Is this correct? do we get a jaccuzi as well

Was there also a minibar available in the room? I think it says the minibar is payable locally but does this mean costs like a london hotel or just average cost for say a can of coke?

Firebird, that's what we thought when booking the pegasus last year "oh it'll be 12 month's old by then - no problem". Nothing but problems

I think the daftest thing we have done is trusting First Choice again. We have booked with with Eclipse on both occasions who couldn't be nicer when you speak to them but unfortunately it is First Choice you are always passed onto.

I have just discovered this forum today and am perturbed at what has been going on.

We booked a couple of months ago to go on 9th August for two weeks and we had a letter this weekend saying that we would not be getting a double bed as expected but now it is twins.

Having spent 55 minutes on hold trying to get through to customer services I also discovered that we no longer even get a bath but there is only a shower - not very child friendly! Has anybody else been told that they are only getting a shower when they were expecting a bath? this is despite the fact that the new letter still says 'PB'

We are going on the 14 June from Manchester @ 07.15 for 2 weeks.
Have heard nothing from FC to date. So no change there then?
Looking forward to reading the news when somebody gets back.
Desperately need this to be a good holiday as I do not want an unhappy
4 year old, life is stressfull enough as it is!
We have a friend in the travel industry, so will be digging for some info?

We're due at Kos Aqua Beach 31st May 2006. I have spoken to customer services at branch level who have in turn spoken to head office customer services. My initial concern was that we had already been cancelled for Corfu Aqua Beach a couple of months ago and did not want the same thing happening again, and especially not interested in 'don't worry sir you'll get compensation if its not right when you get there' - as that constitutes a ruined holiday in my books. Anyway, the reply was its 110% ready, everything is in working order and to support this they have removed the holiday 'amend' term and conditions, which means up until I guess today you could change the holiday free of charge but now, because there is nothing wrong with Kos Aqua Beach, you would have to pay £20 per person. So, good news for those travelling 24th May onwards. Turkey was mentioned as an alternative 4 star holiday, but guess we'll take the risk and trust!

SP55, cathy b mentioned you may be going to have a look around some time this week. Be careful, I read on the Keffalonia forum that people are being threatend with their cameras being confiscated. If you think about it, such information is having a negative impact on thier brand and they are going to want to protect it, just make sure you don't get done by any heavies for the sakes of us wanting some preview photos!

Mcfester, thats the reason why i asked people not to hassle him for more photos. I would hate to think that he got "done over" just for the sake of a few photos that will probably only depress people anyway!

Well I'm looking to rack up my phone bill again in the morning with another hour long wait to get through to FC customer services!

I have sent numerous emails in the past 2 weeks asking for written confirmation that the hotel is safe, not a building site, has all amenities etc and have still had no reply. No surprise there then!

I do have a good leverage for obtaining this, which unfortunately I cannot go into on a public forum, but believe me, I intend to use it on the phone tomorrow morning. If I am met with the response that seems to be quite popular that everything is already up and running, I will also ask for photographic proof of this which they SHOULD have if everything is there. If they haven't, the FC inspector is not doing his job...... and I can always suggest that Matt Corby take some photos when he arrives on 10th May if as I expect they still try to fob me off.

As for the comment of 4 / 5 days notice "hopefully", I will be bringing that up with them too - appalling!!

Will post anything as soon as I have it. I too am now addicted to this website. Checking the weather forecast in Florida when we go in October (not with FC!) will seem quite boring by comparison, but at least it will be stress free unless there is a hurricane!

hello sam l still in 3 minds just want it to be ok for my daughter i dont really care as long as the bar is open and the sun is shining but i like to keep my daughter smiling and woe betide fc if they mess it up

How old is your daughter? I feel like you. I'm not too worried about me. I can survive on the sun and a few voddies!! Would like the aqua park to be fully finished for the kids tho!

OK so F/C are totally unreliable , Un-Trustworthy, and basically totally Cr*p, But surely Negative thinking is only gonna make us all ill and Totally stressed.!!
We are taking 4 children ( ONLY Reason obviously for booking this holiday!) and to be honest yes they will be dissapointed if there are no slides or entertainment and I won't be happy bunny but I am Damed if I will let it totally ruin our holiday, (after all just to go abroad in the sun is more than some kids get!) ( thats not to say say that I'm happy about paying good money either for our holiday for it to be a shambles)

But come on everybody We don't have magic wands and apart from some diggin that may come about it is totally out of our control and with no way getting refunded now. ( 24thers 31sters) So Lets get in the holiday mood be happy and when we get there Make the most of it!

Only thing i'm worrying about is that I've put on a stone in weight since stopping smoking 3 months ago and oops last years holiday clothes don't fit so DAM will have to go out this week end and buy some new ones yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
