ok...well i am now also worried! firstly, as you all know they have cancelled the late night flight which i was upset about...but anyhow...now i am worried about the room. I have booked a Suite for 5 which allegedly has a seperate room with a king size bed, a bath and a shower as well as a lounge area with room for three...is this not the case????? I am going on my own with my two children 10 and 13 and we all wanted a little bit of privacy.
Lambrini £3,500 is a lot of money, how long are you going for and what date? there is no way you can expect a boy and girl of your kids age to share a double bed. We have a copy of the first addition that we booked from (April 2005) and in that it says a double bed plus additional sofabeds in the lounge area, going by the lanzarote holiday village that we went to last year it should be the same as there, the sofa coverts to a bed by moving the cusions off, and basically a slide out bed comes out from underneath the sofa. This is what im expecting at Kos.
Thats what i am expecting too Michelle, I have 2 boys aged 12 and 7 they would never get to sleep in the same bed and be black and blue by the morning lol.
From the FC website for Kos Aqua Beach - "Standard rooms sleep up to 4 and feature a separate bedroom with twin beds and a lounge area with 2 sofa beds"
and
"Family suites sleeping up to 5 (with king size bed in a separate bedroom and 3 sofa beds in a separate lounge) have facilities as per standard rooms"
so I wonder where the lady on the phone got her brochure from! (Mind you website still shows horseriding available!) Think you should keep pushing on that one.
And like many of you we also have to pay under-occupancy because kids have the room (even if we said me in one and him in the other we still get stung) and there were no family suites available when we tried to book. Do they honestly not realise a 'family suite' for 5 at a Familyplus hotel is going to be 2 adults (or even 1) and the rest kids?
if any one has booked for 4 people sharing check your invoices, as mine says 1 dble4 bl or tce pb sh wc ai.
i thought i had booked a room for me hubby and kids 14 and 11 with king size bed and sofa bed (2singles).
the lady at first choice customer services said i have booked adouble room, i did see this on my invoice but thought it meant seperate bedroom,
customer services say it means 2 double beds. what does it say on every one elses invoice is it dble4 or standard.
does any one know where it states a double room because first choice have got it from some where.
i don't know what to do now as first choice don't want to help, has any one any suggestions .
My invoice says Suite5 which means king size bed and three bed in the lounge area....which is great for me!!! I've got the bed to myself and the two kids can fight over the three beds in the lounge area. When I went to lanzarote we had a seperate bedroom and balcony and two sofas which transformed into beds at night.
Thought two doubles meant two rooms with double beds...

Hi Lockwood: We go on 2 August this year, hopefully everything will be in place by then - its probably the most expensive time of year to go away, but I had little choice with the kids doing exams etc. at school. We paid £2799 in January - now the same holiday is quoted at £4393.00 (all details are same). What a markup!
Hi Lambrini: Just copied this quote from the Eclipse Direct website ref: kabc room facilities:
"Standard rooms sleep up to 4 and feature a separate bedroom with twin beds and a lounge area with 2 sofa beds".
"Family suites sleeping up to 5 (with king size bed in a separate bedroom and 3 sofa beds in a separate lounge)."
Check it out for yourself, you might have cause for complaint.
I was looking at the guide to your rights on the holiday-truths.com website just out of curiosity and you might want to look at that too, there is some useful information on there. Good luck - see you there.

Hi ive just looked at the reports on the trip advisor, and from what this guy is saying, the building work is done, all one storey flats with sea views, mmm so why are the sea views not being allocted out then. Unless we all have sea views so they cant actually make charges for them now! Also the dutch are to be the first holidaymakers there, they go in April. You know what - im getting very excited now. Still havent had my holidaytruths tshirt through yet though.
nine weeks to go not too long i suppose
I know what you mean mick d my hubbies counting down the days too, its 7 weeks 3 days and 30 mins for us how sad is that, but I suppose when you work your butt off all year for that two weeks of relaxation we deserve to be sad Debbie
totally agree debbie years work 2 weeks hols you have to enjoy it and you will
Just spoke to a lady at First Choice was very nice and helpful, the Beech Club is well ahead of schedule and will def be ready for when we go May cant see them fobbing us off at this late stage so I now have a big smile on my face Debbie
hi all well only six weeks to go and starting to get excited now cant wait any one else going 3rd may
I'm excited and nervous at the same time.....I'm going it alone with my two children...so i will be the sad one sitting there on my own, with my book and some alcoholic beverage...watching the entertainment!!! Whilst my children go and play!
How long are you going for saunders, were going on 10th May for two weeks, theres sixteen of us all together six adults and eight kids, were getting really excited now the kids cant talk about nothing else. Debbie, Barnsley
My holiday truths tshirt arrived this morning, fab for the beach or to shield my skin from the scortching hot kos sun, bring it on, cannot wait now, great news that its going to open on time and all ok, Lisa London what date are you going? im sure you will make friends there.
We are flying out on the 24th May for a week.......When are you going?? I'm sure it will be fine....I'm quite happy spending the daytime sunbathing...its just the evenings that can be horrible...not fun getting drunk on your own!!! (By the way...I really DON'T want the woe is me vote...i'm a very independant woman!)
We just miss you Lisa we come home the night you arrive, which is a shame because im sure with the eight kids us lot have got between us aged between 2 and 15 your kids would have been sorted, and you would have been fine sat having a bevvy with us girls while the lads are finding a sports bar to watch the qualifiers for the world cup, mind you Ill probably be watching it with them but we would have made you all welcome. Debbie x
thanks Debora....What times your flight?? May be able to have a quick bevvie and catch up on the hotel before you go!!!
