we've also booked a late check out. our flight is around 4.30am. i'm sure the travel agent told us we wouldnt have to check out til 9pm.

We've also booked late check-out (our flight leaves at some time in the wee small hours of the morning) and my recollection is that the room has to be vacated by 9pm (I'm at work so can't check the paperwork) which ties in with jimmichoos thoughts. Also it might not be the room in which you have been staying - some late checkouts have rooms for this and so you might have to move to a different room. (When we went abroad 2 years ago we had to move from our 2 bed apartment to a studio - but it had 3 beds and the kids got some sleep until we had to leave). I stress might as you just as easily might be in your own room!

As for airports departure times, my local airport has great times (all daytime) - but all flights for this season fully booked!

hi tierny , before you book with first choice get a price from eclipse direct, they do belong to first choice but for some reason they are a bit cheaper.
we are flying from manchester 8pm flight out and late return flight it has cost us £40 extra for a late check out room, the brochure states that these rooms are available up to 9pm.

We booked with First Choice off the net, as the local FC Travel Agent was huffing and puffing at us when we went in there with our 'wish list' (we wanted Kids Club, All Inclusive, Free kids places if possible, and interconnecting rooms or 2 bed apartment). So we went home and ticked the boxes on the site and it came up with the suggestions - and no huffing!

If I'd known about eclipse would have tried them first - but know for next year now!

I have booked with first choice via an independant Travel agent, we got the price off the Eclipse website knocked 200 quid off and asked them to match it which they did so we are well happy.
We have a rubbish flight home too about 3am i think but we arent going to get the late check out room.

we fly out from manchester @ 7.15 am and return home about 14.15 pm therefore we dont need late checkouts. but last year when we went to turkey it was later flights out at 7pm and home @ 2.30am. from previous holidays we have found that most hotels usually have a safe room where you can store luggage and some even have shower/toilet facilities with a key available from reception, i dont know if this is available at kos aqua beach club. last year we didnt pay for late check out and wished we had done but the hotel manager let us stay on in own room for rest of day as it wasnt needed until next day (someone on our incoming flight actually) . i dont know if this is just the very freindly turkish people or wether it happens a lot but personally i would pay for a late check out if times were worse especially for hygiene and sleep purposes. hope everyones bookings are ok and see you all there.

We too have booked a late check out room, apparently this is up until 9pm at the Kos Beach Club, which is good as on other occasions we have only had a late check out room until 6pm. Also most flights with FC are night flights, which I prefer with young kids as they normally sleep. We are flying from Gatwick and have an 8pm ish flight going out with a 4am flight (kos time) coming home, so probably will have a bit of a wait around after vacating late check out room and actual departing for airport. Its a pain but we are used to holidays ending like this lol

I recently received the FC letter regarding Horseriding. Bit upset as we love horseriding. Did someone mention that it will still be available under separate management?

I dont recall any reference to information on childrens club in the letter, but will check it again.

Hi there slick - my letter said that it was not available and made no mention of an alternative provider. As I'm scared of horses (long story!) it did not make any difference to us. Maybe there will be lessons available elsewhere in the resort?

Anyone called FC recently to see how the building is getting on? I was going to wait a couple of weeks but if anyone has a latest position then let us know...

Thats good to know the late check out room is available until 9pm although it would be better if it was slightly later as it would still mean alot of "hanging" around until the early hours of the morning - but hey we will jsut have to get on with it!

I called FC at the end of last week and they told me that the building work is a month ahead of schedule - so fingers crossed it stays that way!

Can't wait now 12 weeks to go - I think you (mrsgaz!) and I will be there around the same time! We leave on the 31st May for a fortnight!

Has anyone been to Kos before with a young baby? I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how available baby foods and nappies are such as Heinz and Pampers. I have never took my other boys on holiday this young before so just wondering what I would have to take and what would I would be able to buy in Kos? DOn't want the excess baggage to go overboard!!!!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

I was supposed to flying out then too but the flight has been cancelled due to lack of demand!!

Think you should phone them!

When were you due to comeback? as that flight on the 1st June has changed too.
