I think you have done really well and got yourselves a bargain.
You will have an absolutely fab time at Lykia it really is idea for family holidays.
It's in a beautiful part of Turkey and the food was the best I have had in this type of resort, the show cooking is wonderful. One night we went to the Marina restaurant and it was a fish night (but lots of other choices too) and their was show cooking with a chef carving from a 5ft Tuna .
Your children are just the right ages for the childrens paradise swimming pool area as well. Mine were a bit old for it as they are teens.
I will remember Tulip holidays for if I want to book again, I would have gone back but mine want to go to Florida this year.

Oh thanks for that! I'm so looking forward to it & I'm trying to convince friends to come too!!
I can't wait to do Florida but will wait for the children to be a little older before I do that one so that they remember it better!

my daughter was 5 when we went to lykia 3.5 yrs ago and she still remembers it as she had such a fab time , she loved all the kids pools with canons etc, its a brilliant place for kids and the food is fab
Also I seem to be able to get a better deal on the Residence rather than the standard Village rooms. What are they like? Will it be a bit cramped with two adults and a toddler?
The Residence rooms are huge!
IMO you are better in a residence room with a toddler as the village rooms don't have bathtubs. My kids didn't used to do well in a shower at that age.
I agree with Bridd, the shower in the village room is pretty small. The room itself is big, but the enclosure is small if that makes sense. If you can get a residence room at a good price I would go for that.
Thanks for the advice on the Residence rooms.
What are the family rooms like in the Village? I take it these are larger than the Large Superior Room but in what way?
The family rooms have two separate bedrooms. The superior rooms have just one.
I think last year I must have been in what was one of the superior village rooms. Basically you get one large room, it was on two levels the upper level you had a huge bed. Think it might have been two 3ft beds puched together, then you went down a step to another level where there was a double sofa bed. So not much privacy for a family of 4. But we weren't complaining as we got it at a bargain price. and the facilities and food are the same whatever room you get to stay in.
Oh ok, cool thank you! Family room it is then!
Thank you for that, glad we went for the Family Room then what with it being Part family Hol & part (5 years late) Honeymoon!
You have defiantly done the right thing then if it's your honeymoon.
Have just booked for 2 weeks in august got a cracking deal with holidays direct ( part of the t cook group ) four adult prices and one child £4171 much cheaper than booking direct with t cook. also in that price is free extra luggage allowance and free in flight meals plus a morning flight. The only bad thing is its another seven months to go.
Can the twin beds in the standard village rooms be pushed together, or are they attached to the wall/backboard?
Another quick question (not as important to me as the first),
Has anyone extended their stay by a night? If so, was this expensive?
Thanks in advance.
just booked for a week to go to lykia world in oct and got a fantastic price and also went through the cashback site and got an extra 5% cashback, so i will spend 1 week at lykia and 1 week at my apt in akyaka, really pleased , lykia has only cost me £452 inc discount for 2 adults and 1 child, i thought this was a bargain, im paying more in instanbul for a b&b for 2 of us !!!
thats great karen lykia is great
john ive been there about 3.5 yrs ago and loved it, but thought this was too good a price to not book lol, im sure i would spend more than that a week on food and drink anyway
that is a great ai price i would drink more than that if i was in europe price wise
