Myra313, my mum and her friend are off to the Alicia in Cala Bona on 24 May - they adore it there. Up until last year they stayed at the Bonamar, but tried the Alicia last year and now they wouldn't stay anywhere else.
have a good holiday it wont be long i still have august to go to trying ibiza this year es cana then a wee holiday with all the girls in sept to turkey .
thanks Myra313
Thomsons only take bookings from adults only ( aged 16+ ) although the Bonamar do keep a few rooms themselves and takes bookings directly. Last year we had only 1 child there ( 7/8 years old) and he was very well behaved.
Yes the Bonamar is directly on the promenade and faces the sea. There isn't a beach directly in front of the hotel, it is more like big rocks but a 2 minute walk will get you to some lovely sand !
The hotel provides daytime activities ranging from .... french boules, shuffle board, killer darts and pool, rifle shooting, water volleyball and many more.
There is evening entertainment which always start of with a game of bingo ( never been lucky to win yet ! ) and then to follow there is either a professional show like last year we saw a Rod Stewart impersonator ( which was fantastic ) or maybe there could be an illusionist or something along that line. Some evenings the Animation team ( the hotel entertainers ) will put a show on, that could be like Grease or starlight express on their roller skates.
If you don't fancy staying in there are other hotels that you can go to, we go to the Alicia some evenings to see their shows. Each to their own. We holiday with about 12 other people and we end up making our own entertainment ,even if the show is not so good it is the company you are with !
We and our holiday friends always holiday in June/July the weather is glorious. It is busy, but being a smaller resort than others on the island it is pleasant.
I can't really comment on the price of a weeks holiday because last time we went for a week was 3 years ago, I think we paid about £500.00 each. This year for a 2 week holiday we are paying £1400.00.
Hope this helps you.
We love it there !
