Just back from faro to manchester and what a fiasco at manchester airport.queues for passport control were horrendous so we decided to use the iris scan, what a joke! I got through then my husband tried no joy then the other couple we were travelling with tried, still no joy.so I am waiting while they had to go back and join the queue.
Why cant manchester get it right? we can have a stress free journey until we get back home and then stress levels are way up!
I ended up at the carousel watching the luggage go round and round, they couldnt get it all on because people were still in the passport queue.

I recomend APH aswell theyn were great, shuttle bus left as soon as we gave keys over only us on it. When we arrived home the bus was there waiting for us. Compound looked extremly secure infact it was like fort knox.

Use this link http://www.aph.com/offers/landingpages/dynamic.htm?code=195914 it has a discount code attached to it. It is given to us through the company I work for but really it can apply to anyone as there is no proof required as to who you work for. The discount is quite a big saveing. It doesn't just cover APH car parks it covers every car park near the airport but the biggest saving is oh their own car parks.

Can anyone tell me how many Easyjet desks there are at Manchester terminal 3. My daughter went from Liverpool a couple of weeks ago on a Monday morning 7am flight and was there 3 hours before and it took 2 hours to book in. We are going at a 7am flight on a Thursday and hoping not to have to Que that long.

Leyland Lass,

I don't know the exact number, but it's not that many considering EZY's operations from MAN are in their infancy. It's about 4 or 5. Liverpool is quite a large established base for EZY and have far greater frequency of flights, and hence far busier. It's not normally too busy at MAN.

I think you're gith Dazbo there were only 4 or 5 when I was there in Deember and one of those was a baggage drop desk.

Has anyone every used the Bollin Lounge in Terminal 1 ? If so what snacks do they offer ? I am on an early morning flight and wondred if it would be worth booking as a snack and a couple of drinks could easily ad up to the same as booking the airpiort lounge. Also the peace and quiet sounds nice.

Christine W. Prices are £17.95 for anyone aged 12 & over. Children aged 0-11 are £10.00 (just off the top of my head, as I'm not at work to double check for you), if you book online or at the actual lounge on the day of travel. If you book via the phone, there's a £2.00 booking fee. They do not do any hot food. The snacks tend to be things like biscuits, crisps, cake slices, nuts etc. There is also have tea/coffee/soft & alcoholic drinks. The drinks/snacks are included in this price & it's help yourself. You can enter 3 hrs before your flight is scheduled to leave. But the earliest it opens I think is 05:30 in the mornig. The staff might or might not call the flight you're on, but there is the flight info screens in the lounge though, which you can keep an eye on. Hope this helps.

Thanks Misshighlander, I was hoping to have a bit to eat in there maybe a sandwich. Thought it would sort us out for breakfast.
We fly early morning 7 am so I won`t bother this holiday.

Hi

There's not alot in terminal 3 if I remember rightly. There is a bar think it was called Bar 8, also a costa coffee. I think the food was served in the bar. Can't remember if they had a place dedicated to food, but I don't think they did.

What time do shops shut in T1 as when i fly it will be midnight.

They usually open within the times of the first and last departing flight for that day. So as long as there are flights going out them facilities are open.

kazza36,

As salford_steve mentions, T3 is quite small compared to T1 & T2, hence there's not much choice. There's just the central bar / food outlet (Bar 8) serving the usual english and continental breakfasts (you'll need a mortgage!), sandwiches etc.

Hi, has anyone used the ''Meet & Greet'' parking? There are some very good offers but just a little worried about handing my car over to a stranger! Advice would be appreciated. Regards Sue

sue ludlam,

My brother has used it and never had a problem. As long as it's a reputable firm, you should be ok although I'd rather park the car myself personally!
