Thanks Dazbo
Looks like a long journey on the 763 then - do you know if the aircraft has seat back TV's or is it over head monitors? It really is going to be a long haul i think.
Thanks again
It's a long journey in any aircraft! No seat back IFE is fitted to MYT's 763's. Premier Gold customers get the use of hand held units, everyone else gets ceiling mounted CRT screens above the isles. I did 14 hours on one to Puerto Vallarta in March, it's not too bad. Saying that, that was with First Choice with 33" seat pitch and seat back IFE. MYT's are 30". Get the Prem gold seats booked!!
Darren
I will be on the phone this evening - hopefully they wont charge us an admin fee for amending the booking....
I haven't travelled on a Charter flight since i was a kid - it is going to come as a shock - luckily i am well aware of the differences between Charter and Scheduled... it's a pity that First Choice or Thomson aren't operating the flight - i really wouldn't mind flying their product - My Travel just looks really cheap!
Thanks again for all your help - extremely useful.
Thanks for the info. Pleased about the seat back tvs - but I'm sure when I booked last week Airtours direct said they were overhead .
Jean.
ADDC thanks for offering to fill me in on Premair Gold on Boeing I will contact you end of July. Hope you have a good experience.
Darren do you know whether or not there is anywhere to clip the "hand-held" IFE into on the Boeing? I don't fancy having to sit and hold the TV whilst eating my lovely airplane food! Can't get an answer from Airtours on this (we booked with them).
What difference is there on the airbus, to the boeing premair gold anyone who have travelled on both?
Finally is the boeing seat configuration in Premair Gold 2, 2, 2 rather than 2, 3, 2 on the Airbus? Not happy as someone gonna have to sit on their own
As I mentioned in previous post as my child has a disability and I need to give Physiotherapy during the flight I want to sit in the area with most privacy, if toilets are front of Premair Gold would I be better in back row? Airtours have told me that the seats don't have as much recline in the backrow.
Airtours said they could change it to the Airbus which I was hoping for, I'm a bit disappointed about going on the Boeing, was looking forward to fancy aircraft Airbus with stairs etc......
Also, I am getting married in WDW Orlando, does anyone know if My Travel will let me carry the dress into the cabin. The girl I spoke to at Airtours said they will likely let me carry on and hang-up for me.
Sorry for all the questions, just want everything to run smoothly.
Best Wishes
Tida
As far as I know, the hand held players can be hung from the back of the seat in front. The main difference between the A332 and 763 in Prem Gold cabin is the IFE. Both are configured 2-3-2. The A332's fuselarge is a little wider but seat pitch is the same. The toilets are located in front of row 1 and the others are located at the front of the economy cabin behind the bulkhead. The isles have curtains to keep things seperate and private. If you want privacy, then the back fow of Prem Gold is a good idea but the seat pitch will only be 35", you won't benefit from extra legroom. I know wedding dresses have been allowed on in the past as hand luggage but you'd need to book this with the tour opperator / airline in advance. I haven't much time at the moment but it'll all be on MYT's / Airtours website under FAQ's.
Darren
Could you do a quick check for me and find out the availability on the MYT flight to Sanya on the 23rd Sept?
When i booked my holiday on-line a few days ago it was available - but i tried to book the Prem seating over the telephone yesterday evening and was told that they are not offering it on this flight.
I thought that all of the 767's had Prem seating!
Thanks in advance
The flight and holiday deals are still available. I don't know what the MYT agent you talked to is on about because there is a Prem Gold cabin on the aircraft. It's probably booked up so its not showing as available. I bet that's what they meant to say.
Darren
Cheers Dazbo - looks like a 14hr ride in Cattle Class then.... unless there is some availability when we check in....
Premiar Gold On Both Of Their 767s Are 2-2-2
Thanks for that Jamz, I was hoping you'd confirm either way! I knew there were 30 seats so 6 abreast makes more sense than 7, it doesn't add up otherwise!
Darren
I am travelling from Gatwick to Las Palmas (gran Canaria) on MYT441 4th August, can anyone tell me what plane this is and the seating configuration.
There are 6 of us and we have all booked extra legroom seats.
thanks Lesley
MYT441/2 is currently serviced with an Airbus A320-200. These aircraft are configured 3-3 with 28" seat pitch. For a seating plan, click here.
Have a great time,
Darren
Thank-you so much looks like there is only 6 seats that are extra leg-room, if that's so good job we booked them.
Lesley
Dazbo5 / jamz1107 can't tell you how pleased I was to read it is a 2-2-2 I know you said it was a 2-3-2 and MY Travel spoke to me today and said its a 2-2-2 but I was still panicing until I read this from you both. my son has huge mobility problems and it would have been a nightmare if it had been 2-3-2.
originally they said they could allocate the 2 seats furtherest away ( i.e. far side from where you go in) from the plane exit door but now they say all the front at emergency exists
thanks,
was wondering if you had any info on the plane we will be flying out on? we are flying from gatwick 17th july to cancun with my travel.
we have upgraded to premiar gold as hubby is quite tall and wide!
any ideas of aircraft? films/meals or anything else as we have never flown premiar gold before.
thnak you in advance

We are traveling with mytravel to Punta Cana , Dominican Republic on Monday 9th July, flight no MYT013. We have booked as Prestige Travellers and have susequently been told we can use the Executive Lounge at Gatwick. Does anyone know what facilitys this lounge has to offer, i.e. can you get food etc. We have also paid extra for extra leg room both ways. We usualy upgrade to premium but we have decided to use the money saved on not upgrading to have 21 nights instead of 14. I am a bit worried now because I cannot find any info on the extra leg room seats. Has anyone travelled in a similar seat to Punta Can and could offer some information. Thank you.
LGW-CUN, flight numbers MYT053/4 is currently serviced with an Airbus A330-243. These have seat back IFE throughout. For a seating plan, click here. Recline, MYT's inflight magazine lists current entertainment, click here.
Have a great time,
Darren
for information on the LGW exec lounges click here. MYT013/4 is serviced with an Airbus A330-243. Refer to my post above for aircraft photo's, seating plans etc. Extra legroom seats are located at exit rows and are very roomy.
Have a great time,
Darren
Thanks Darren
