Central 16,

A cheap upgrade in this day and age doesn't exist. Prem Gold seats get booked up months in advance generally so they're seldom available on the day. Even if there is a spare seat, demand is such they are sold at normal price.

TIDA,

There aren't any seating plans available as far as I know. It's configured 2-2-2 with 5 rows of seats.

Hi there,

Thanks, googled it but couldn't find anything.

On the Boeing the Premair Gold is first 5 rows, is there anything betwwen row 5 in premair and economy. I was hoping the Premair area of the cabin would be seperated by galley etc from rest of cabin.

TIDA,

Jamz will be able to answer this better than I can, but there will be a partition to segregate the premier gold cabin from the economy cabin to make it private. The partition is normally a bulkhead but since there are only 5 rows of seats and the forward cabin is normally larger than that, it might be a curtain instead. Whichever, it will be private.

Erm..

Yes There Is A Curtain Just After Row 5.

And Then It Is Economy For About 5 Rows..

Then Another Bulkhead..

And Then The 2 Main Cabins.

Hope This Helps..

Hi there,
Thanks for the replies.

The info re there being a curtain behind the 5th row to seperate Premair from Economy and then a bulhead after about 5 rows alarmed me a little as the main reason I booked the Premair Cabin was because I wanted it to be quieter and more private for my child's medical needs.

The curtain will be getting pulled back and forward you will still hear all the noise from the main cabin with just a curtain. I phoned My Travel and they said that there is def a bulkhead between Premair and Economy. I am getting conflicting info and wonder has anyone actually flown on the aircraft Boeing 767 and could tell for for def if just a curtain or bulkhead.

Thinking of cancelling with My Travel now as they told me it was a seperate part of the cabin and I don't feel you can class a curtain between row 5 and 6, a seperate cabin! Wish it was the airbus :(

Hi,
Does anyone know please if Nintendo DS can be played on board - Will the head phones for these fit the aircraft music system or will we need to get 2 pin adaptors.? Not sure yet whether we are on a Boeing or Airbus.
Thanks
Reply
JeanM,

You can use the DS apart from at take off and landing or whenever the seat belts signs are on. The headphones can be used but you'll need an adaptor for the Airbus. Jamz will be able to tell you if you need one on the Boeing, I would think you will but some 767's have a single stereo socket.

If you let me have your flight details, I'll llet you know the aircraft type.

Thanks Darren

That should keep the grand chlidren quiet.

You kindly told me that I should be on an airbus - MY51 - 31st August from Gatwick to Sanford - but when I did the booking I'm sure I was told overhead TVs. Last week Airtours said they couldn't confirm as it was too far away.
Thanks again.

we are flying from gatwick to the Dominican Republic we have booked premier seating are airport lounges included or do we have to book ?

JeanM,

MYT051/2 is currently being operated with an Airbus A330-243 with seat back IFE. Unless they plan on changing aircraft type at some stage, which they seldom do, it'll be an A332.

hy guys could anyone teel me if the tvs for the films on the airbus are in the isles or on the back of the seats please hopefully they will be on the back of the seats
so we dont get a stiff neck lol cheers the airbus is a321 200.

andy1975,

IFE on the A321-200's is provided via LCD panels which drop down from above the seats. Only the larger A330-200's have seat back IFE. Click here for a cabin shot. These are far better than the isle mouted CRT screens of old, you don't get a stiff neck! This is what they look like on a TCX 757-300.
