Would I still go to Goa?? Well, I have been several times to Bali but actually delayed our first trip there by a couple of years after the Kuta bombings. In the end we went to a quieter resort, one less likely to be targetted. Calangute could never be classed as quiet though. At the moment, I would say that I would go to Goa. However, if anything did happen I would definitely be rethinking.

The violent attacks on Christians, in Orissa and Karnataka is also very sad, and I hope it dosn't spread to Goa.

Heard tonight from a friend in Goa,That the police were out in full force tonight in bullitproof vests and bomb disposal gear,stopping all cars at Saligao.Looks like they are taking the threats seriously at last.
we havent been told anything here, even the travel agents dont know anything,hopefully it will calm down soon, we go in the new year
