Not so much what I miss when I'm on holiday, more what I really appreciate when I get back home.
Turning the cold water tap on and being able to drink the lovely cold water from it.
My bed and pillow.
Looks like romance is in the air, but can we keep it private please

As I mostly travel on my own (husband hates travelling) I guess I should say I do miss one thing, my husband
I don't really miss anything on holiday, but most times I would love to miss the flight back.
Hi Parky! On our 2nd holiday abroad the bus forgot to pick us up for the return journey. We ran about with 2 kids like headless chickens trying to find transport to the airport & got there just before the check in shut. How naiive. If it happened now I'd stay put and hope they forgot to pick me up for a few days
Cooking and washing up.

So a couple of old mugs get shoved in between the socks and undies and a pillow goes in last in each case - pads things out nicely. After the hol we leave the mugs behind in the apartment but would be hung, drawn and quartered by the better half if we left our pillows.
I think I might miss the rain this year!
With the temps. here in Tenerife at the moment I am missing the rain [not]
Love the avatar, sooooo jealous. I take it your in Tenerife now........and you ain't missing a thing.
I am in Tenerife and I love it, the only thing I miss at the moment are my friends and family but as most of them are visiting at some time between now and New Year I might not even be missing them by mid January
So now you're all settled in, there must be something, however small, making you feel just a tiny bit homesick?
As much as I love my holidays I always get a lump in my throat when we're coming home, coming in to land at Manchester and fly over "our" hills, seeing how green everything is compared to the Med/Canaries.
If I lived out there I think I'd miss British xmas, and also our Spring when everything comes back to life again - you don't get tht over there - things are "blooming" all year round.
Anyway, glad to hear your new life is going well - you couldn't send us some that sunshine could you?
