We didn't pay the extra pound last year and got our visas with no problem whatsoever. I remember when we first started to go to Goa we paid it and I couldn't find reference to it at all last year.

:tut
if you go to first post on this thread you will get the link to download the 2007 visa form :D

Still confused - does this mean we haven't to pay extra £1 [it seems to be something different each year]

Last year there was a simular discusion and it came over you dont pay it,i have posted the last two times and only pay £30,if you send them the extra £1 they wont refuse it,the new form say nothing about £1 ,so dont let them have it.

 PMSL...you'd think the Indian High Commission would get their act together and just have the ONE download - but then.... it wouldn't be India if there wasn't some confusion would it?

Many thanks everyone....I'll make sure I download the CORRECT form!  ...but you'd think you couldn't go wrong by downloading from their own website

moved to the visa thread. However, it does seem strange that Lyn phoned from that list of TAs and was told that they wouldn't deal with it unless she had booked through them. Somebody needs to get their act together.

I HAVE FOUND ONE THAT WILL PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION
they will charge the normal visa price + £10 handling charge.
you fill out the usual form and send it to :- Puja Travel. 445 kenton road. harrow. middlesex. HA3 OXY. PHONE 02089312340
As before you need to send remittance and passports recorded delivery, and a return recorded delivery envelope.
the only thing i haven't found out is who you make the payment out to.
there are other places you can send your applications, and if you live nearby you can go in person.
hope this helps BOB :gluck :smokin

SWEET!!!!

Brilliant Bob! Tenner's not too bad.... seems that they can charge what they like then..when you think the Ilford bods wanted £20 initially then when they found out I was posting it to them and they'd have to send it back by special post..it went up to £25!!!

I cannot remember how much the special delivery envelopes cost. Is it £4.50 each?
Reply
Yes sydney, that's right £4.50

they are saying on another forum, oops, that you may still be able to apply by post, to the birmingham HCI. don't know this for a fact, but will be looking into it early next week

That's right bob, at the moment you can post to Birmingham, mind you, how long that will last for is to be seen :!: They will probably be inundated with all the visa requests that would normally have been sent to London  :!:

I have gone to the surgery that visits Liverpool for our visas,it is due in Liverpool on the 25th Aug and also Dec (not sure of the date) cost us £10 on top of normal charge, but IMO worth it as you are not worrying about your passport going missing in the post and your visa is done there & then. Friends of ours have had theirs done at Manchester & Leeds, and I am sure there are other cities you can get them done.....KEITH
P.S
The surgery address for Liverpool is;
The Hindu Center
Edge Lane
Liverpool

Are there any visa surgeries in the south :?:
