I think there is a lot of truth in Alsbabys post. Look in your books - can you see a pattern emerging? For me there definately is. Every 3 weeks I either maintain or put on weight which is exactly 'that time of the month'. That makes me feel a bit better about putting on .5lb this week after trying so hard!!!
Denny
You are a bad influence - encouraging me to drink and then not eat my meal LOL
I only had the one glass - think I need to take a coupke of painkillers - decided to do some serious housework while I am on half term break and moved some furniture - ouch I am paying for it now.
Speak soon.
Irene
well hbrac i have lost 1stone and 1lb so far since sept last year after i had my son Caleb who is now 13 months i am still breastfeeding him so i can have lots of extras on sw to keep calcium levels high. i would like to lose another stone before i have baby number 2 so it wont be as hard to lose it afterwards!!! at 32 i am finding it easier on sw than i did when i was 22!!! good luck for weigh in this week girlies speak to you on thursday or friday with my results, lindsay
Well, eary indications (i usually weigh myself on Sunday! ) show that i'm down another 1.5Lbs, and i'm now only just around 1-2Lbs away from my first 'target'
Just weighed myself and I've lost another 3lbs this week I've lost 1st 8lbs since January I'm 1 stone away from my first target... hoping to meet that by Easter.
New slimming world magazine has some excellent recipies: including one for a cod pie (as a semi vegetarian, the recipies are a godsend) some great ideas!
Have fun everyone
There is less of us every week Lets all keep up the good work that we are doing for ourselves.
Dramaqueen - agree about the SW magazine, I am making the Spicy Quorn Curry tonight. I have been looking through old copies of the magazine for more inspiration - seems that since I have added more variety to my meals I am going in the right direction weight wise For lunch I am doing JP (started them off in the microwave and then crisping them up in the oven) with a chilli bean sauce on top, just right for this cold weather
Irene
Dramaqueen, that's a wonderful weight loss.... WELL DONE!! Denny
Dramaqueen .. that is a FANTASTIC loss ... i'm looking lose at least 2 stone so you are my inspiration just now (although as a veggie i'm not sure about this semi-veggie claim of yours )
We are off out tomorrow for our Valentine's meal, off to the local Indian, so there will be a few extra calories tomorrow, but i dont care - i'm entitled to a treat now and again!
I was out walking in the bitter cold this morning and it wasn't until I got back later that my fingers had thawed out. BTW..I still have a stiff neck from that Pilates class....should come with a health warning
Sorry didn't make mysellf very clear I meant less of us in weight!!!! Which is great.
I think this is a very friendly forum and it is so nice to speak to you all and share the ups and downs.
Dramaqueen so sorry I din't congratulate you before on your brilliant loss - got carried away when I heard that Liverpool were beaten today!!!!
Just about to eat the Spicy Quorn Curry that was in the SW magazine - it is looking good.
Speak later.
Irene
I thought you had meant people were bailing on their diets!! Ah well, it's good that there is 'less of us' in here now, maybe that way we can all fit into the thread!
Went out for a meal last night and this morning I have put on 2lbs Oh well only another 9lb to go before my holiday in May back to the diet on Monday.
Welcome Sandyglen you have done very well, this is a very friendly forum.
I am doing Slimming World which is brilliant for me a vegetarian. I only have 1lb to lose and then I get my 1st stone award.
My fault is that I am always weighing myself and I know I should only do this once a week - need therapy. Having said that I have only weighed myself 3 times since Wednesday - weight can go up 2lbs on more during the day for me. Only had lunch and dinner yesterday and I am heavier this morning than I was a few days ago. Friday was not a good day for me so I think I am paying for that this morning.
Off to have 2 boiled eggs and some melba type toast.
Irene
Welcome Sandyglen...now would that have been a celebratory meal by any chance I'm trying to lose my last half stone and it's hard going.I think it was -2 this morning and my fingers were frozen but I did feel better when I got back...sort of exhilarated !!!Off now for brekkies !!
Irene ... i know what you mean, i tend to weigh myself every blooming day!!
I have gone from being a 'cheese junkie' to a 'scales' junkie
I now only buy a small amount of the cheese that I like to eat and cut it into 1oz cubes and freeze it so I am not tempted.
Irene
No seriously i was talking from my own point of view as i have been dieting since i 15 basically ( thought i was fat and WASNT ) looking back on photo's i can see that now
I had my first son when i was just a month off 17 and my weight has never been right since.( he is going to uni in sept) Changed my mind i do feel old I did loss weight after having him but as a classic yo yo dieter it all came back on. I went on to have another two boys and i am really struggling to lose the weight, dont get me wrong i have lost and gained back the weight sooooooooooo many times now ( youngest is nine this month) but when i went back to class after christmas i was only 8.5lb less than when i first joined all them yrs ago ( nine to be precise ) Is not SW fault because it REALLY does work its me and not sticking to plan
I feel that i cant have another summer of me moaning that i have to wear black while everyone else looks nice and summery and insisting that i am not sweltering in my coat when i am really.
I really do feel more positive and i am going to do it this year!!! NO MORE EXCUSES.
Just relised that i dont have a problem losing weight its the keeping it off that i find the hardest. Oh well these things are sent to try us and TRY us they do.
goodluck ladies
Kerrie
Irene .. i can sympathise, i was a cheese junkie too .. i weigh it out now, and don't use very much at all
oh cidermonster i am sorry
