I have lost 9lbs altogether now and it is just over 4 weeks til my hol by which time I was hoping to have lost a stone. Much hope.....we'll see! lol!!
I'm not following SW, but what sort of foods are speed foods?

Lynn m maybe it's your daily excercise that's slowed the weight loss down?? Sounds silly doesn't it, but it has been since I've increased the exercise that my loss has slowed. However, I am losing inches instead so measure as well as weighing
Well done to all this week's losers and anyway I think whether we've lost or not this week we all deserve a shiny sticker for still being this committed going into the last week in Feb!!!
Feeling better again this morning - was in bed by 9.30pm with my horlicks light (looked at SW site to see how many syns? doesn't say does anyone happen to know - I am really keeping them to 10 and below daily and writing everything down!!!) - didn't sleep at all well though have not been sleeping properly for ages. Happened to be speaking to the school nurse where I work and she said excercise helps you sleep - looking at the previous post it may slow down weight loss - you just can't win can you?

Hello peeps. Well I lost 1lb at weigh in this morning so I am well pleased.It's been hard going and very slow. I agree with the fact that exersise doesn't show much of a loss on the scales but I can certainly see a difference in my legs, thighs, and hips. I need to lose half a stone and that's it.Another 4lbs and I'll not have to pay because I will be +3lbs above target. I bet this last bit will take forever.

My first target is 9stone 7lb which is gong to be quite a few weeks away. I was wandering if you get to target and say lose a further 3lb can you re-set your target weight to be 3lb over/under the new weight? Would classes be free?
Tonight I am having the spicy quorn chilli from the SW magazine, followed by a sugar free vegetarian jelly and some spray cream.

I'm sure that you can reset your target Irene. Just see what you feel and look like when you get there.There's one girl at class about a stone under her target and the leader told her that she would have to start charging her if she didn't put some back on. She was wearing a big jumper today Mind you, she looks very gaunt and really is too low IMO.
I got weighed yesterday and i lost 1 lb i was hoping for more cos i am on plan 100% and i only lost 0.5 last week, I was hoping for 2lb everyweek and that would take me right to target for my hols ( over 6 weeks i have lost 11lb) just under the 2lb a week so i am a little gutted. NOT GIVING UP though cos it is going in the right direction.
I went for water tablets today ( the weak ones that you can take all month) instead of certain times and i was recommended sea kelp, The lady said she has been taking it for years and it helps with hair,nails and maintaining water has anyone heard of these and tried them
Irene have you told your consultant that your target is 9st 7lb and has it been set, if so you can go 3lb under or over that weight and still be at target and not have to pay but if you wanted to change it to say 9st 3lb you cant do that it has to be a half stone either way either 9st or ten, thats what i was told in class. hope that makes sense. If not just ask and i will try to explain myself a little better because reading that back even i dont understand it and i know what i am on about And if you have not told your consultant what you target weight is DONT because you can pick and choose yourself ( when you feel at the right weight)

I think I follow you regarding target. My plan is to aim for 9 stone 7lb and see how I feel and then if I felt I could lose more maybe suggest 9 stone 4 so I could still go between 9 stone l and 9 stone 7lb - couldn't I? I have said my initial target is 9 stone 7lb already.

My original target was 9st 7lbs and just before I reached it I decided to change target to 9st. - Wish I hadn't as this last few pounds is taking forever to shift!!!!
I've been 100% on plan for several weeks now, lost a couple of half pounds, put on half a pound and last week lost 2.5lbs....
This week I've decided to do speed and superspeed foods only so we will see what next week brings.....

I was trying to decide what to have for tea so I put a chicken breast in a casserole with veggies and passata then I spied the butternut squash I had bought ages ago sitting on the worktop looking sad. I remember the leader saying you could roast it.I usually put it in a curry.So I roasted it with a bit of frylight. Oh my God...it was soooo yummy and sweet.I don't know why I haven't done it before. I sprinkled a little sea salt on but it's not really necessary.Tasted just like sweet potato. And free on green if you are on a green day.

Well it's Friday so we have the weekend to look forward to - I used to 'dread' weekends when I started on SW as I used to lose 'the plot' but now I have it sorted.
Reading the 'Kelp' post with interest - I get my vitamins from a company in Guernsey and was looking at their site last night they have a sale on at the moment so I am going to order some later, won't mention the site on here in case it is classed as advertising but anyone interested please PM me. Recently I did an online survey with the company all about my diet, life style etc and it advises if you are lacking in anything as a result I now take an Omega supplement.
When I log on to HT and see a post from a 'regular' to this topic I open it quickly and I know there will be something really interesting to read - I think we are a happy and friendly group.

Last time i lost a bit of weight i was taking Sea Kelp tablets ... apparently they help produce the chemical needed to help the metabolism ... and my metabolism is very slow!!!
I am definately going to order the sea kelp tablets as my metabolism seems to be slow or maybe it is me that is slow.

I was looking this up on the net but because I already take throxine for an underactive thyroid I don't think I can take it as it contains iodine. Anyone know what to take for hair that's coming out when I wash it !!! (And don't say...A WIG !!!)

Well I don't know what to take, but what about something like Perfectil, Jeune-Coll Skin, Hair and Nails or just Boots skin, hair and nail supplements? Not tried any of these though so can't recommend them but have wondered about taking them myself. Saying that though, don't know if any of these would be any good with throxine??

I have changed quite a few things this week so i wont know if they have hepled or not cos all i have eaten is soup and sandwich for lunch and the same for dinner two nights running now and i have had no syns as i am still waiting to see if hubby wants to go out for his birthday on monday. I will probably be back before wednesday but if i am not i will check in as soon as i have been weighed
