Hi Lyn
The reservations you have reguarding the English and other nationalities is important, but one i cannot really answer, nor you until you arrive there. If you are having the transfer on the coach from the airport, you will be with English people on that, but obviously they will be going to different hotels i'm sure.
There are a lot of English, Russians, Germans, Italians etc who go to Egypt, its possibly one of the shortest trips they make across the sea to get here as its only a few hours travel time. That said though, we have been several times as you know, and seen English people and teens. In fact last year when we went in July and August we met up with teens and was drinking with them on top of the Oonas dive bar next to the hotel.
Its a difficult call really, you wont know until you get there. But, because it is Easter when you want to fly, you maybe lucky and have more English there, plus its the cooler months, and a lot of English go there in the winter time for example.
It really depends how important it is for the kids to meet people, you would meet more by the pools, you get loads of kids by the pool near reception, but there are 6-7 pools to choose from.
Not all lowered rooms are near reception, some are in the 400s for example and are on the first floor, where as some are on the ground floor. If you want a nice room (family) room, email them about 2 weeks before departure. I always do, for my room 1105.
If you cannot get through to Elizabeth, just ring Thomson direct on 0871-231-4691, anyone can help.
Good luck.
Michelle x
ps, all trips you go on with Thomson via the hotel will have kids and adults, so you will know who is at your hotel.
