"It's seasonal...
When the weather gets hot, really hot, it will be open"
Blimey, definition of really hot? I'm seeing temperature over there now of high 30's, then again, I've been in July/August and then it is REALLY HOT!!! lol
Hope they open it when we're there late May, makes a nice change eating there out in the open.
Oh, I've seen air temps of 50 odd on the dive computer...
couple of questions -
Has Kamels wife had her baby - we missed a call from him and haven't phoned him back yet.
Is Ashraf still at the Coral
Do you mean Ashraf (food and beverage manager)? If so, then he has left. Wagdy has taken over the position.
Kamels' baby (boy) is due sometime in May. He'll be sending us a text when the big day arrives. We'll be seeing him in June anyway.
Hi Altygirl. Kamel's baby was born about a month ago. It is a boy -Mustapha and mother and baby are doing well!!! I'm sure we all wish Kamel and his family all the very best.
That has really confused us now. We'll have to send him a text.
No Ashraf in reception he left for a year came back and just wondered if he was still at my second home.
Where is Wightlion these days has been very quiet
Ashraf was still in reception was there when we were there for Xmas 2007.

I'll pm you...
Fatma has returned to the coral with Ibrahim who also will be with her as the guest relations team
Would that be Ibrahim Manager Housekeeping of a few years back?
Hi apple, Fatma didn't say in her e-mail will let you know when we get back Roll on that sunshine
Hi, has anybody got a 'current' email address for the coral? Thanks
Hi
Can pm you a contact number for Soliman at the Coral...
Thanks Alan - received you pm.
Hi all, at the coral at the moment. All good so far, like the changes mostly. The Italian is open till 9pm as a snack bar, no main evening meals. Most of the staff recogonised us after our near 3 year absence, which was nice. Red wine in main restaurant was awful, but after a meeting with rep and Fatma it is ok now. Weather is great, and hotel about 55% occupied. Quite a lot of russian/chzech's etc but no problems with them at all. Anyway, bye for now, evening "entertainment" is calling, lol
Had a great time at the coral. Even won the music quiz for the third time!! Had a minor problem with a German contestant who pulled the answer chair from under my son while he was sitting on it!, a talking to ensured he saw the error of his actions. Prize was, yes you guessed it, a bottle of wine! which actually was quite good, a bit more like the wine I remember at the coral from years back.
We were disappointed at the animation team, aside from sharif of course, who was the same sharif as normal. Tarik was bearable, but needs to learn some basic dealing with children skills. The other one who called himself Eminem was just not suitable as an animation team member dealing with kids in my opinion. Giving it all the fake american bit, baseball cap, Eminem shirt etc. Not mine, or most I talked to's cup of tea. He went home about a week in, which was nice.
Food was an interesting topic of conversation. I thought it lacked choice, some nights you had to have the barbeque option if you wanted something meat based as a main meal.
Till the next time.
