I put wrong date down for some reason we all fly out on 20th sept, only 17 weeks and 5 days to go. We cant wait.
Hi Folks, arrived back home safely on Saturday. while we were there Boogie nights was not on because all the entertainment was done indoors, as we were leaving Zorro said that they were taking the show outside if the weather got better. We had 6 days of bad weather it was warmer back in the uk... I found out one piece of good information and that is up in the Galleon hotel they now have Wi Fi connection, you can take your laptops there and are given a password to get connected, if you are staying at the Galleon connection is free but there is a small charge if you are staying at the hotel or beach club.Thats what the receptionist told me...The new girl eva makes a good clown she is still abit nervous but with time she will get better, she is a very nice person...There is one thing i will not be doing and that is going back to the beach club at the start of the season, they were only about 70% ready for guests but after the 1st week things got better...I hope i have helped you out and if there is anything else i might be able to help you out with dont be afraid to ask.Hope you all have a great holiday bfn
Can someone confirm how long the transfer for the airport to the hotel is likely to take? Not expecting to arrive much before midnight so if AI stops at 11 o'clock will any bars be open near the hotel if we need to get a snack and nightcap? Kids permitting!
The transfer takes about 30 - 45 minutes, depending on other drop offs on the way. For the last two years we have not had any other drop offs and it took just under half an hour.
The Happy Friar pub just along the road will still be open when you get there, but not sure if you'll still be able to get anything to eat at that time of night. It might be worth contacting the hotel nearer the time and asking them if they can make you up some sandwiches and leave them for you in your room. Not sure if they will do it, but there's no harm in asking.
sorry to hear about the waether pooh..been looking on teletext and seeing its not good maybe get better in 4 weeks when we go..*removed*..i will have to get my hair cut before i go as she has cut it for me whilst we were there..so did they do the kebabs in the restaraunt and do they still have a fish night..did you go to the chinese is it the same menu as normal..who have thomson brought in this year ???
...While we were there the firsts weeks food was quite frankly rubbish, i did have a word with sante and the menu did get better. I think it was due to it being the first week of opening that the food wasnt upto much.they did not serve kebabs while we were there , but they did have fish night & carvery night. I did not have a chinese while i was there although several people said it was ok...What do you mean by "what have thomson brought in this year"...I know they have change it from "Thomson Superfamily" to "Thomson family club"...The new thomson reps are ok, but they no longer have their nicknames, like dj dan, silly sarah etc,.(happy) Hayley from last year is still there...Hope this helps bfn...
I've removed information about an individuals personal circumstances from the last couple of posts- best not to discuss that on an open forum
Just one more thing for now-can you hire fridges at the hotel?
i have e mailed the hotel and booked a fridge it costs 42 uros for 2 weeks..may need it more this year for a lare drink on the balcony if AI finishes at 11pm..looks like we have been told off pooh..have find out details when i get there..does anybody know what zorros real name is (we do) lol
Hi, I know Zorros real name & the name of his hotel, do i get points for that lol . He is expecting to get the first customers to the hotel next year. Ive seen the information about it and it looks well good...Bfn...
So everyone from this thread could be off to Costa Rica for their holidays next year then!!
well done pooh..yeah you get points for that lol..natasha told us last year the hotel in costa rica takes a bit of getting too.not as easy ibiza..and twice as much...gilles is zorros name..by the way
But don't call him by his real name in front of others, - he gets the hump.
Hi mick, You aint wrong there , Ive known Zorros name for nearly 7 years now and i have never told anyone.Lets just let Zorro be Zorro, who cares what his real name is...
i have lost my san miguel cd and my children are going mad at me ,they like to get in the party mood before we go 2 weeks tomorrow yippee !!! does anyone know if there is anywhere i can get a replacement from before we go ?sad i know but kids are very excited .
Have been told that there'll be nothing for him to do and he'll be bored silly. Does anyone agree with this or better still can anyone reassure me otherwise. He's quite sporty and usually joins in daytime activities when we've been on other holidays. I hope there aren't age restictions on the water sports and gym?
Colinrog - if you are going in school holidays then it should be OK as there will be lots of others there who are around the same age as your son. There is football, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, waterpolo, killer pool & darts as well as canoes, bikes etc. If he is 15 he should be able to join in most things except for the shooting and archery- I think you have to be over 16 for those. We have been a few years running and I haven't seen any bored teenagers - especially if they are into sports as there is something going on from 11 in the morning through to about 5 p.m. We have daughters but we have spoken to other families there who choose to return because there is so much going on for their teenage sons to join in with.
Thanks Dylan. We are going in the summer holidays and that sounds more like what we were hoping for.
