Hi all! Myself and hubby will be going to goa from the first time on 28th December and we cant wait! Flying from Manchester to Goa and staying at Village Royale in Calangute....cant wait to see in the new year on a beach instead of Scotland!

i have been scouring through the threads for tips so thanks to all for those....will not bother packing ghds or heels :really and im really looking forward to seeing the sights of goa.

the only thing i have been a bit worried about is the dogs as i have told there are a lot roaming in packs (bit of a kiffie me!)

hi niptuckfan (great name :rofl ) dont worry too much its generally worse on the beach late evening ....mostly its ok, i am not saying there isnt a problem but during the day they seem fine and just laze about but if you are walking through quiet jungly areas off the beach at night they tend to be intimidating but there are other routes off the beach not so quiet and deserted so should be fine.. just take usual precautions though and I generally dont pet them etc although some do.... but the fear of rabies is real so as i said caution really
