bodster, no Ive never been to a holiday village before or even booked with First Choice, Ive always gone on Thomsons Super Family hols which have been great, but as I am getting married while we are out in Cyprus needed to choose somewhere that did weddings and as important has plenty going on for the kids. Now seeing the pictures I am really excited and still having 8 weeks to go there still time for any unfished work to be carried out. Hope you have a good holiday!
Are you flying out around 7.00am ?
To all those who have booked a one bedroom deluxe, I emailed the hotel yesterday and today they have confirmed that the rooms are only located in the fishing village area.
That's good Ellsbells although not good that FC keep giving out incorrect information, I have spoken to them three times about this matter, the first time when we booked, the second 2 months ago and then I spoke to Emma last week at FC and they all said that the one bedroom deluxe accommodation was available in the old part and the new fishing village, we were keen to stay in the older part of the hotel but to be honest, I am happy with the photo's and with Mandalay's review so I am just looking forward to the holiday and can't wait, wherever we end up sleeping!
we should have been going here, but cancelled last year, and chose turkey......
dose anyone know if the deluxe room has a dvd player? (my twins love there dvds so be nice if they do so i can take some films for them to watch of an evening)
the brochure isnt very clear and FC don't seem to know what there on about as there constantly giving me incorrect information
Joanne
IT'S GREAT.
Okay, so the wife and I have been going for 7 years, but if it was not good, why would we keep going back ? The addition of the Fishing Village has made the place even better. We had a guided tour round the new apartments and they have been finished to a high standard, three different types with families looked after really well, the kids get there own room with a PS2, should keep the occupied
The pools at the fishing village are great, the kids 'splash pool' made me wish I was young again and as for the main pool, well if you get an apartment next too the pool, you can fall out of the door and take a dip. During the day the new Fishing Village has a great feel, and in evening it's just a chill out zone, very relaxing.
The older side of the complex is still a joy, it's lost nothing of the atmosphere that we liked from day one.
Rooms clean, staff always willing to help and listen.
There is also the two bars at the front, The Wild Horse is the place. There is three good restaurants, Pocoloco (Mexican), Taste Of India (Indian) and an Italian, that I cannot remember the name of
Anyway all good .
Look, we love the place
Going back in September, need more sun !!!!!
Yes we fly at 0700am so early night!! If its anything like the other HV everyone should have a great time. We have been to the HV in Majorca, Costa Del Sol and Turkey and they were all fab, no complaints at all about any of them.
Rooms in the new Fishing Village Area:
Deluxe Studios (located in either the fishing village area or main complex) and Deluxe Apartments have upgraded furnishings and microwave in addition to Superior Apartment facilities.
Deluxe Family Duplexes have same facilities as Deluxe Apartments but are split-level with extra shower/WC room on upper bedroom level.
Kids Suites have separate theme-decorated children's bedroom with twin beds, sofa and satellite TV with Playstation2** and double bed plus sofa bed in living room.

Thats what i thought aswell.
thanks for trying to post the pic of the gazebo. I had a look on FC's site and found the pic and it looks like what i expected.
Also Mandalay, thanks for the info that you posted. I've got the email address, so i think if i don't hear back from FC this week i'll get in touch direct.
Thanks again.
Ann
Hi all, I am going to ring FC first thing in the morning because im a little concerned as far as the difference between the deluxe room and the superior. FC told me that the superior was the better of the two as we originally booked a deluxe room along with the rest of my friends and family on holidays with us,but as we are getting married we thought we would spoil ourselves and upgraded to the superior, which then cost us more. I queried what was quoted in the brochure but they said the superior was the better out of the two. At this point im not really bothered now whether it is the better of the two as I think both will be nice, Im just more interested why I had to pay extra.
im confused that FC keep saying different things i dont mind as the deluxe and superior will both be nice im sure.... i just wanted the dvd player for the little ones so they could be kept occupied of an evening etc also it helps calm them down ready for bed time!
if anyone stays in the deluxe i would appreciate it if u could answer the dvd question for me as theres no point me taking dvds if theres not going to be one in the room.
Thank you all i love this site
Hi larson when I speak to them tomorrow I will ask them and keep you updated, you might be better off emailing the actual hotel themselves, you seem to get more accurate info off them. Will see what FC say tomorrow, them might contact hotel myself to find out whats what with the room situation.
Hi all i havent got a brochure to hand but is the text in it different to what it says on the first choice website.
On the First Choice website it does state that deluxe bedrooms have upgraded furnishing than the superior but it also states that both accomodations have 2 televisions and a dvd player in them.
Dont know what im paying for then
Confused now i will have to get my partner to have a read through it all tommorow as far as we knew we had 2 televisions one in each room. They should really state what room has got what in it would save all the confusion.
its weird as i total the holidays on date i booked there is only a £2o difference between the two, delux being cheaper but from what i can tell from below delux has same with microwave extra
ps only 82 sleeps to go but only 21 sleeps til i have to pay full balance
When they started advertising the new Holiday Village it was more expensive to have a deluxe apartment for some reason now,as you know it is more expensive to have a superior the only conclusion there can be is that they have realized that the superior apartment is bigger than the deluxe and upped the price. Maybe im wrong i dont know.
