I think i've got confused with Thomas Cook who i was going to book with.
So it means my hold luggage is 20kg,and i can take on board a small bag weighing no more than 5kg.
Hi all,
I too have read some negative feedback on onur and it has made me panic, my hubby hates flying but i havnt told him about any of the feedback I have read, im just keeping my fingers crossed all will be ok.
We are flying out on the 14th July OHY699 Gatwick to Dalaman and returning 28th July OHY698 Dalamn to Gatwick.
Any ideas what type of plane this will be?
Hubby is a large build bloke and have read on some reviews that the planes are rather cramped and no leg room and flying with our 3 young children
I should be looking forward to our first ever holiday away as a family but im starting to dread it
Appreciate any feedback
Many thanks
Mel.
I've flown with Onur Air 3 times and am doing so again on the 2nd of July. Each time we have taken off on the dot if not earlier than the quoted time and we've never landed late. The staff I've met are all friendly and helpful. Yes there is no on board entertainment but it's a budget airline. I'm disappointed that they've stopped meals on their flights as I've always really enjoyed them.
I'm 6ft tall and most of it's leg! I've never found their planes to be cramped. The last time I went to Turkey we booked with Thomas Cook and have to say we won't make that mistake again. The plane they used was VERY cramped, I had to get up and go for walks it was that bad, the entertainment was a film none of our party or the 2 parties near us had heard of and of course you have to pay for the 'special' ear phones if you haven't brought your own. We took off an hour late going and 45 mins coming back.
The flight delays I have to say are just part of airline travel, some you win some you loose but the other points I make are more valid. It was clear that the plane had as many seats crammed into it as possible, the interior was tatty (never confidence inspiring when you can see you're on a clearly old aircraft!)
Don't worry about Onur Air, get to check in as early as you can and ask for seats near the emergency exits, these have a 'missing' row of seats in front to allow easy exiting in an emergency. I always ask for these seats and they've always quite happily given me them. Thomas Cook were pre allocated so couldn't/wouldn't do anything.
