Thanks to zoe for latest feedback - I am not usually a complainer - but as with most users of this site, we have paid a premium for an AI holiday - we selected this type of holiday as with two young boys constantly wanting food, drinks and ice cream it is easier to know that these are paid for up front and the only money we usually take is for 'extra treats' ie. the odd evening meal out. Due to the current situation with food I find myself in the situation where I am trying to take as much spending money as we can afford to allow for us having to eat out far more than usual - I agree that FC should put there hand up and say they are not offering their usual standard and reimburse customers!!
I am really looking forward to my holiday - the sun - the sea and just relaxing - I am not looking forward to a 'Butlins' type dinner sitting at a set time each night - but I have to live with this!!! Although I should not have to!!! I am sure we will enjoy our holiday but it does leave a bad taste in your mouth that after having saved all year for our family holiday we are put in this situation - be assured we will complain if the food is as bad as has been reported!! Thanks for advice regarding M&S cash machines and taking of euros - I will be off tomorrow to change up some of my hard earned cash!!

YES the transfer is very quick and easy we had no problems - and yes you can get a taxi at the airport just look around as walk through the exit. reception will ring all taxi's for you - that includes airport and all taxis to the strip and old town.
Maybe book taxi back to airport a day or so before your depature!

YOU MUST SEE THE ZOOMARINE very good! Didnt do the splash parks - apparently the aquashow is good for the younger kids.

Have fun x

Thanks for the info, that is good, although it wouldn't have bothered me too much it does mean the atmosphere in the place should be more positive for those who it would have bothered.

Getting quite excited now, only 5 sleeps left lol, the kids have grown out of that one but I haven't.

Sun and fun here we come :sun2 :cheers

So glad to hear they are no longer using the two dinner sittings. Let's just hope the quality and variety of food improves too. I'm booked to go in October and have everything crossed that the teething troubles are sorted by then. :cheers

Good news at last. When I wrote to FC last week they said the new chef was place and that the menu and quality should be much improved. I'm looking forward to seeing the comments of those that are there now and going soon. I'm off on 24 July - looking forward to it.

Thank goodness FC and the hotel have decided to remove the dinner sittings, It is thanks to websites like this highlighting the problems and putting pressure on them....keep up the good work everyone!!!

Really good news that the meal sittings have stopped!! I had resigned myself to the idea but the thought of being told when we had to eat for fourteen nights was not something we were looking forward to - I assume the number of complaints had gotten beyond a joke - I am really looking forward to the holiday now - just hope the new english chef has made a difference to the quality of the food!!

hi all, really good news about dinner sittings. Still got quite a few weeks to wait, not going until September, staying in a Kids Den.
Can anyone tell me what AI is like for drinks and ice creams, is it only local produced drinks or can you get branded and is ice cream limited to certain times.

Thanks in advance
Reply
Ice cream is available from the Tavern bar from 1000 until midnight in cones or tubs.
Drinks are locally produced only.
