A really good show to see in Beni at the moment is the "We Will Rock You" tribute at Rockerfellas. This is based on the West End Musical about Queen. It comprises music with a touch of Theatre, and is definately the best show in Beni at the moment. Good sound and lights too, with a video "wall" behind the stage with footage of Queen and Freddie. This is not a Queen impersonation, but a tribute based on the stage show, and is very professionally done indeed. I had my reservations when i first heard clips of it on the net, but this really is a show all Queen fans really must see, i think you will be very pleasantly surprised! I was talking to Asa Elliot, and the two lads from the "Smart Move" duo, who are in the show, and they are going to tweak the show every now and then, to bring in some different songs! They are off for a couple of weeks or so at the end of July/early August whilst the "Smart Move" duo entertain on a cruise ship! Go see this show, you will not be dissappointed!
On a sad note, Junior - The Mad Maori is at the moment waiting to go into hospital. He has got Hydrocephalus (Water on The Brain), and needs an operation to insert a "Shunt" into his Brain to drain off fluid into his heart. He's very frustrated apparently by delays in getting this done, and misses performing very much. However this is a big operation, and particularily at his time of life, its probably very doubtful indeed that he will be performing again. But you never know i suppose. He's certainly put a smile on many faces over the years, so lets wish him well for a successful outcome.
Best Regards - Taggy
