You may get a better response in the Thomson topic in the Flights forum.

I know its a late reply, but better late than never eh?!
Thomson stopped dealing with nectar at the end of January, however any customers that had booked there holiday whilst the promotion was going on, they would still get there points automatically when paying.
If you havnt/didnt get them added to your account, you need to ring the nectar helpline and query it.
I paid the balance of my holiday in March 08 and received my nectar points shortly after.Hope this helps.
Thanks Lucy
any one know any discount codes fro Thomson??
Have you tried the
can anyone advise me as to when I might expect to receive my tickets for my forthcoming holiday to Jamaica, i booked the trip about 5 weeks ago.

I am looking at booking a holiday for next summer with Thomson. I have always booked last minute in the past as was lucky that work was flexible with dates. As there is now a lot less holidays available, I have found that there is limited choice and they aren't even cheap anymore!
So I am going to be more organised this year but have also decided to spend a lot more on a holiday. Have been looking at the Blue Palace in Crete.
I was wondering whether it is possible to pay money off the holiday when you want on the Thomson website? Or can you only do this if you book through a travel agent?
Thanks
Claire
Not sure as we had to phone to make payments but the TAs always tell me that they will match web quotes, so get your quote together and dive down to your local Thomsons, although some of the others may be cheaper. That way you can still go down the shop and pay bits off - I presume
I understand that Thomson & First choice have merged & are now TUI, the reason I ask is that we have some Thomson holiday vouchers but would like to book for Egypt at a First choice holtel.
We will be going into the shop to book soon, but wanted some advice from anyone who could tell me if this would be ok to do.
Bit of a novice doing it this way, as I usually book Majorca using flight & hotel sites seperately.
Appreciate any help please.
Thanks in advance.
Deb.
When you have the best price try your local thomson shop as our local shop always tells me they will match the best internet price without me asking.
One word of warning regarding the current situation.
I was looking at one holiday (Sharm - FC) thinking it was too expensive at £450 pp and waiting for it to drop back to under £400. Then XL crashed. The best price for the same TUI holiday is now £667 pp ie over £200 pp more for a week.
Not sure what has happened to the other prices but it is worth bearing in mind when looking at the current deals. We have decided that at these prices we may just as well pay the little extra and get 2 weeks in the Caribbean next year instead!
Yes, I have printed it off to take with me.
The price is £1600 for hubby & I for 11 nights, this inclides a swim up room, they do seem to have gone up from the prices you mentioned, the hotel we like is only with FC, it is not shown on Thomson or Eclipse.
I don't suppose they are likely to get any cheaper, more likely to rise
Thank you for your advice.
Deb.
I've only been to Sharm in December but both times in both hotels the pools were more or less unusable. The sea water was 28, the airtemp was about the same, but the unheated pools were freezing. I did not see them in use once.
May be worth checking reviews for the time you wish to go as there would be no point in paying over the odds to get a swim up room if you can't use the pool!
I priced some stuff for a BIL yesterday and used portland direct to compare against thomson.
The portland direct website process is not good, I got prices but no options for adding flight meals, sitting together etc and no idea as to whether they were included.
The thomson site did offer the choices but came out £60 dearer for 2 with everything included (Baron Palms resort).
The other thing to note is that if it is your first time in Egypt it would be worth investigating the Egypt forum. There are a couple of very active threads that would answer most queries you can think of.
One thing that springs to mind as you may or may not have considered it, is the snorkelling, if you are heading to Sharm.
May be preaching to the converted but some hotels have a jetty from which you can drop in on world leading Coral and fish - literally.
However some of the hotels are better situated than others. that is the sort of question the forum can answer.
I knew of the diving but did not appreciate the snorkelling aspect until I took my first dip. Some "older" people told me they chose to return to that hotel rather than the great barrier reef as they could see more and with simple step of the jetty access.
I returned to a different hotel the next year with Thomsons, but while the hotel was better, had a heated pool for one thing, there was an 800m walk out to sea along the jetty and that still left you 50m short of the Coral. I still find it hard to credit that from sitting on the beach one had over a mile walk if you wanted to snorkel - didn't see that in the brochures! On the other hand the beach side cooked to order Pizzas were fantastic.

Thanks for taking the time to post but we have to be very careful of copyright. Sanji has posted a link below.

I flew from Doncaster and was bussed down to Coventry when the plane was grounded in Spain the day before, IMO it's a right poo hole and is nothing more than a transport cafe with a portacabin as the departure lounge.
At least I won't be taken down there again when I fly from Doncaster to Alicante in December.

Now thomson & first choice have merged am I able to book First choice's holiday villages in a thomson shop?! We want to return to the holiday village in mexico next year but our nearest travel agents is thomson's and first choice is quite far from us. Also, will Thomson price match a web quote even though it was on first choice's website?!!
