Does anyone have any clues what to do about my visas, still says created on 2nd October and my o/h 3rd October. As we live at different addresses they were sent individually 2 seperate special delivery envelopes and 2 return envelopes. They cant both have got lost can they

online now showing.....Application has been forwarded to Consulate General of Birmingham on 17-Oct-2008 so does this mean everything is okey dokey?

Hi Roxey

Ring the helpline, its expensive, but it was quick and I was only on a couple of minutes. It will put you out of your misery hopefully.

I also emailed but never got a proper response,just an automated reply.

I've just phoned them and gave information, they say I will be phoned within 48 hours regarding the status of the visas

I sitting on the edge of my seat this morning waiting for the postman!

Another word of advice for you all, a couple of years ago my OH was issued with an out of date visa! For the life of me I can't understand how it could have happened, but it did and was a year out of date, it was almost identical to the one issued the previous year. Luckily we noticed as soon as it was returned. Make sure you all check your visas carefully once you have them back!

Just checked out visa status online and it says our visas are ready for collection at the Hayes office. I am hoping they will get them in the post today and delivered tomorrow. They certainly are making up for last year's fiascos. Well, for some of us anyway. Hope everyones comes through soon.

Fingers crossed Polly. We're still waiting for the postman, the drawbacks of living in a village! They will have gone through the same sorting offices as my Mum & Dads though so hopefully they will be with us soon. This is the most nail biting part I've had in the whole process!

They've arrived!!! Sent Monday back with us by Friday, I certainly do not have any complaints with the new system. If only it was this smooth for everyone.

mine are back, no visa as they have returned it due to non payment...
I paid online on Sept. 30th it left my account on the 3rd October

Oh no judsmiles, what a nightmare!!!!! I feel so sorry for you. But I am going to be up very early in the morning waiting for the postman - our visas are in the post. Well, I hope there are visas in the passports!
