Who did you get the good price with, Ellie_Meg?
monarch hotels, they seem to be having 15% off and ive gone through loads of sites today, pricing up none can beat them that i found, i even rang lykia world and they were £170 more without the cashback i got too, making it nearly £200 difference
Pleased to see you got booked Karen. Great price. I know it was Ellies favorite place. I've jumped on another thread and asked you to pm me the link, but just read it's Monarch so no need now.
yes ellie loves lykia world and still 3.5 yrs later if you ask her where her favourite hotel is she says there, even though she was only 5, also we will be there a few days before ellies birthday, so that will be special, although she wanted her birthday in akyaka so we will be there then , she said lykia and akyaka my 2 favourite places , im really pleased with myself as i didnt think we would go back with prices so high for the amount of holidays i have
I think you are a bit of a legend with the amount of holidays you get. But then I'm just jealous really.
Thanks for that. I looked at Monarch hotels but they only seem to do the Village not the Residence. We were considering LW in September for a week. Thomas Cook have quite good prices so maybe. (We're off to Egypt for the first time in a few weeks. Never been - V excited)

hubby has just told me im not allowed to book any more hols this year oh no im gutted, only got 4 booked , 3 to turkey, mind u i think now ive booked week at lykia that makes up for it
Hi all. I will be going to Lykia world for the 1st time this year- after admiring it from afar for some time got a good price! Because the food sounds absolutely amazing, wondered if someone could answer a question about the gym facilities? I read a review somewhere that said the gym included in the full board price is not very good, and to use the one with the state of the art equipment costs a lot extra? Does anyone know how much extra, and are the exercise classes extra also? Sorry i know i might sound a bit sad and most people wouldn't worry about this sort of thing on holiday, but by the sounds of the puddings i will a need a new wardrobe when i come back otherwise!
does anyone have any more recent prices for the speciality restaurants, we were there 3.5 years ago and they were around 3-4 euro each, for italian, chinese and turkish, these are the only 3 im interested in thanks
the prices for the speciality restaurants are still around four euros per person except the italian that has now changed and is quite expensive, we went for my wifes birthday and it cost us about 120 euros, becuse you have to pay for all drinks in there. but all the others you still get free wine, beer and soft drinks, the chineese (manderin) has now changed its name to the blue buda but the food is the same. Hope you have a good time.
Darren
thanks for that, will be giving that a miss then lol, our favourite was the manderin as we had our wedding reception there
Last time I was there both the gyms and all the exercise classes were free but not been for a couple of years.
sounds like they are trying to charge for more things, not a good sign
Thanks Bridd, thats great.
Thats right no more house wine or beer at what used to be called the la luna it is now called vino gusto, when we went in september last year we were the only family in there, and cheepest wine on list was about 25 euros so i will be giving that one a swerve this year.

This was the reason we didnt bother with this resturant. It was the only one of the a la cartes that the children fancied, but we thought it would be too expensive. Especially when you have paid a fair amount to go there in the first instance.
The gym on the village side if free to use - opens at about 9am after they have opened up the gym at the residence, which is chargeable. Last year I think it was about 3 Euros per visit or you could get a weekly pass kind of thing. The Residence gym opened at about 8:30 or might have been earlier.
In terms of facilities I preferred the Village gym as the kit was easier to use, I don't like machines where it's all electronic setting of weights etc. You can watch the TV news etc on the cardio gear in the residence but I prefer the view of the bay over the infinity pool from the Village gym.
Don't think any of the aerobics classes were chargeable but didn't try them.
If you're there late July I'll see you in there sweating it out!!
I actually prefer equipment that's easier to use so will probably stick with the village gym and save my euros for cocktails! (And the view sounds much nicer!).
I'm going mid August so probably won't see you there but have a great time and thanks again.
I wanted to book direct, as they were offering an early booking discount and also a repeat guest discount, but they still couldn't beat Thomas Cook's price.
