Hopefully someone can help me... I'm due to fly with Thomson from Gatwick to Fuerteventura on Tuesday morning (flight TOM6763, returning a week later on TOM6764), but due to some sort of mess-up I haven't yet received any tickets... apparently some were sent out first class to the travel agent the other day so mine may or may not turn up - if they don't, then they've told me they'll set up a "ticket-on-departure" arrangement for me, meaning I'll have to go to the Thomson desk.
What's worrying me is, I've never had to do this before and my flight is scheduled to leave at 9:15am... so I was wondering if anyone knows what times the desk is typically open from/to, and what the proceedure is...?
Thanks in advance,
GK
PS - does anyone know what IFE will be on these flights, and also the meal on the return (I'm assuming it'll be breakfast of some sort on the outbound)?
The desk is open from the early hours so there'll be someone on hand to sort you out. I wouldn't worry. LGW-FUE-LGW (TOM6763/4) are operated by a Boeing 737-800 (winglets). You'll find further aircraft details on the What Aircraft? thread. You'll find the Mar / Apr IFE listing here. You'll get a breakfast on the outbound and I believe the inbound meal is currently Chicken with Chese and Asparagus Sauce with Mozerella Ravioli.

Darren - I have to pay a similiar tax when I leave mexico - does it have to be paid in cash or can it be paid using a credit card?
it's cash only, they won't accept credit cards for that. We paid it at a desk just before check-in in Puerto Vallarta. Refer to the 'Mexico Departure Tax/Tourist Cards' thread over on the Caribbean forum for more details.

Sorry about all the questions in one go, just trying to make sure we get this right when it comes to packing all of our baby's things for the flight/holiday.
Below in italics is what our booking confirmation states in relation to baggage allowance. I paid for 1 x extra 5 kgs baggage allowance, hence my husband showing 30kgs.
So, to clarify,
1. When we check in our 2 suitcases, one can be upto 30kgs, the other upto 25kgs, and that thereafter we still have 5 kgs of hand baggage each in addition? (Total husband 35kg, me 25kg and nothing for the baby).
2.I see that the max 23kgs per suitcase rule starts from May, as we'll be travelling before then presumably if one of our suitcases does weigh 30kgs, this is ok (32kgs max per item yes?).
3. And lastly, if my husband wanted to pack say, 25kgs in his suitcase, could he then have 10kgs hand baggage for example?
Passenger Name(s) Total Hold Baggage Weight
Mr James A 30kg
Mrs Lisa M 25kg
In addition to the above hold luggage allowance, the normal hand luggage allowance for holidays is 5kg.
Please note: From 1st May 2009 the absolute limit for any one piece of luggage is 23 kg. From this date any item found to weigh more than 23kg will need to be repacked
Thanks for your help!!
Lisa
I would check the wording on your booking confirmation carefully. Are you a Premium or Thomson Platinum customer? If not, you'll both have a standard luggage allowance of 25kg comprising of up to 20kg hold and 5kg hand. The additional 5kg would give you a total of 30kg comprising of up to 25kg hold and 5kg hand. The fact it states hold baggage makes it suggest you are a premium / platinum customer therefore you get an increased allowance and the numbers you suggest should be correct.

Cheers Darren, sorry should have said, yes, premium cabin.
Hey i fly to puerto plata on 23rd march from manchester, can anybody tell me wat airline i am flyin and wat all the preminum upgrade gives me?? flight numbers are tom125 and tom126.... thnx...
Your flights are operated by a Thomsonfly (ex-FCA) Boeing 767-300/ER. Refer to our What Aircraft? thread for aircraft information. The premium upgrade will give you extra seat pitch, increased luggage allowance, upgraded meal, complimentory drinks throughout the flight, dedicated check-in desk and a few other perks. Refer to Thomsonfly's website for more details. Did you not check before booking? It's a lot to pay without knowing what you're paying for!
Darren
hey thnx jus got phone call from first sayin tht to upgrade would cost us 75 pound each so thought was good idea... wat is the seat config?? and will it be painted blue or first choice??? wat drinks are complimentary?? and for the whole flight are the drinks free???
All the information is on the What Aircraft? thread linked above. For £75, you've got a bargain when the usual price is ~£300. It's unusual to have spare premium seats this close to the departure date so there must have been a cancellation. All drinks (including alcohol) are complimentory throughtout the flight. The aircraft is ex-First Choice (not a blue one!).
Darren
TOM 533 from Gatwick,
TOM 267 from Glasgow,
and there is a flight from Manchester which i'm not sure of the number of.
I'm only interested because I am going from Birmingham on the same day and I just wondered which other British aircraft I would see there on that day.
Cheers in advance sparky123.
What Aircraft topic ?
I notice that all of your posts so far have been about the aircraft which you are travelling on, and now about the aircraft which other UK holidaymakers are travelling on. Just in case you are not aware, we also have a Caribbean Holidays discussion forum, where you may pick up some useful information or ask any questions about your accommodation, resort, or any aspect of the holiday which you may be interested in other than the flights.

They will all be 767-300's
Cheers for the info, sparky123.
Hope someone can help. Im thinking of booking MAN - SSH - MAN 16th March 09 09:15am I think its TOM755. Could someone please tell me what aircraft is operating this route and what the seat pitch is? Just a little worried as its our first holiday carrying a baby on our lap
Welcome onboard
MAN-SSH-MAN (TOM755/6) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. Seat pitch is 28". This will be one of the ex-Thomsonfly aircraft which have the spacesaver Recaro seats fitted so feel slightly roomier than 28", more like 29-30". Refer to our What Aircraft? thread for more details.
