I love how the money exchangers advertise "No Commission" when you go to cash in your money.

Today (02/06) the rate on the net for sterling was 77.42 (xe.com) the local rate in Calangute was 75.00. Normally you expect up to a rupee difference but this is getting silly.

How strange (!!!!) a better rate of exchange during the 'rain season'. Anyone expecting a dramatic fall in November?

Hard to say if it will keep rising, and then stay steady around the usual rate, but every currency is on the up. I think last season was the worst we have had in 10 years, but for March/April 74rps is average.
