We were watched all the way until we went throught the main entrance doors and outside.

Perhaps if you had gone alone Sanji then you would have been ok but it was probably your David who aroused suspicion. :rofl

Oi cheeky.
I'll not tell him what you've just said, he's poorly, sick and dying at the moment with "man flu".

He's coughing all over the place and seems determined to share it with me.

We went to meet Northants J & Danny h there a fortnight ago, but they were with us when we entered the hotel, so cannot really comment on the security. It looked like a smashing hotel though.

has any one got info on the new rooms at flamingo oasis we go on 3rd may and are struggling to get info on them, we have been to f.o. many times before just thought we would try new rooms :cheers

I had a tour of the new rooms and was very disappointed. They've tried to cram too much into the bathroom and there's not much spare space and I didn't like the small square sinks in them. There are big beds in the room and a plasma tv on the wall but who goes on holiday to watch tv? There are new wardrobes but there doesn't seem a lot of room in the room either. I certainly wouldn't pay the extra for those rooms and would much rather stay in the old rooms. The only advantage is if you pay the extra money you can use the rooftop pool.

thanks for the info. what have they crammed into the bathrooms ? :(

I can't really remember now but I know they had a walk in shower and bath but I will ask my daughter what else was in the bathroom and let you know.

There's a reclining chair in each new room. The toilet in the bathroom had a petition next to it which made the bathroom look even smaller. The new ones are the same size as the original ones but they've tried to cram too many things in them.

Maybe Danny H will remember what else was in the rooms and let you know as he was with us at the time.

Thanks Deb xxxxxxxxx

Hi Deb... :wave
Sorry, don't know about the inflatables, but it was 3€ a day for fridge hire when I was there in March.

Just back from F.O.The adults only area they have built is alright but not as good as rooftop pool. There is a small bar there but it is only manned every hour. There are showers as well but no toilets so you have to trek down stairs if you have to go.Heard rooftop pool was empty as hardly anyone was booking the suites,.also heard they were putting last minute deals in them. What I could not understand was that you could not upgrade at the hotel to the suites, you had to book them before you went.Would say hotel standard had dropped slightly since my last visit last year and food choice was not as good.I think they are probably cutting costs due to credit crunch.I would probably not use this hotel again unless I got a really good deal.

I noticed lately in approving reviews that there are a few people not as happy with this hotel as they were previously.

That's true Glynis. We were there over Easter and felt this hotel has gone downhill, there wasn't so much choice of food and some of the cuts of meat were so fatty and it was the same most days. This was our third year there and the entertainment for the whole fortnight was exactly the same as it was the previous two years. I don't think many people will book the superior rooms as we had a look round them and certainly wouldn't pay the extra money for them. I'm afraid the Flamingo Oasis will lose a lot of regular customers by being so greedy, serves them right. A lot of people said they wouldn't be going back.

I went to the FO for the 4th and last time in March of this year.
The food wasn't as good, but what really spoilt it for us was the many stag/hen parties. They were coming in (next rooms to us) between 4am to 6am shouting, fighting, vomiting over the balcony, playing loud music. The security tried to stop it, but after security left the noise just continued.
It seems a shame to me, as they are loosing all the 1 or 2 week bookings for the sake of 3 and 4 night ones who have no respect for anyone else in the hotel. I will never go there again, and I told them and explained why. Another good hotel down the pan.......... :cry

just got a good deal for Flamingo Oasis, £534.00 for the 2 of us for 1 week flying from Glasgow on 9th June at that price not really worried about the food in hotel will just eat out.
Reply
That certainly is a good price for the Flamingo Oasis but maybe they're not filling the hotel so are offering good deals now.
Reply
That is a good price, I'd go back with a price like that, don't worry about the food, it is still ok but not as good as it was, you will always find something to eat.
