I/B
You are scheduled to be on a Thomson Airways 737-804 which has TV monitors in the Aisle(overhead) and will show a selection of tv repeats and a film.
It will be painted as a Thomsonfly aircraft, rather than Thomson Airways.
squires55,
i am flying to cyprus on the 20th May flight TOM 2342 from MAN..
what type of plane will this be??? we have been offered seats 2A & 2B are these any good?
thanks..
kenny
MAN-LCA-MAN (TOM2342/3) are operated by an Airbus A320-200. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread. Seating is personal preference really. 2 A/B are standard seats at the front of the aircraft so are as good as any others really. The only problem with them is the IFE screen as right above the back of the seat in front so it's not the best angle to watch it for a couple of hours.
Darren
Flying out on TOM2228 next week does anyone have any ideas as to what type the aircraft is?
Thanks
Kelly
Welcome onboard
MAN-PMI-MAN (TOM2228/9) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (winglets). Refer to our What Aircraft? thread for more details.
Darren
Thats great, thanks for the information
Does anyone know if Thomsonfly have put extra flights on and when, for the Dominican Republic, due to people no longer going to Mexico?
Also any news on May's IFE?
Fly out on the 2nd, getting very excited
Many Thanks
There's no increase in capacity to other destinations. See BY-TOM-AMM-FCA's post regarding IFE.
Darren
Thanks Dazbo, just thought I'd ask, as theirs been much talk on forums, about people being re-routed etc,
I have lost my copy of the IFE listings that was emailed to me so it may be a while before I can post it.
I know Marley & Me is one of the films whether thats on the inbound/outbound or long haul only I can't remember (sorry!)
I will post as soon as I can track down the email or a paper list.
Thomson could do a Ryanair thing here and charge for tissues if Marley & Me is on.
Looking forward to seeing the complete list, if you ever find it
What is the cost of the seats, and which are the best ones, flying on the 27th to Larnaca from Cardiff.
give them a ring, we always get extra legroom on shorter flights and there are never any available at check in as they seem to get booked up on every flight, we normally have to pay around £30-£50 per person return. hope this helps.
When will we know whether the plane will be EX FCA or a TOM plane?
They must know in advance as the Premium seats available are significantly different for both planes?
hi. we fly to male from manchester i think the flight code is tom188 on fri 7th august. we hve paid to upgrade to the premium seats. thomson have said that 8 weeks before departure we can ring to selct seats. we definitely want a window seat, is it better to be on the right or left of the plane? also is there any rows that gain 2 windows? some seats i have had before the seat obscures the only window so if anyone knows of the best seats i'd be grateful. i am assuming the plane will be a 767 is this correct? is it likely to be very full or is it a fligth that is regularly undersold?
You need to pre-book extra legroom seats as they are normally in high demand. I would say it's unlikely there are any available this close to the flights. Your flights (TOM6312/3) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find a seating plan on our What Aircraft? thread. Extra legroom seats are located on rows 12 and 32, and 13F.
Darren
By then, the first of the Boeing 787-800's should be in the fleet so it's more a question of which aircraft type you'll be on! We'd need to know where you are flying from and to.
Darren
Haven't got the flight codes yet, but understand we fly from Manchester to Punta Cana on Wed 29/7 & return 2 weeks later.
Would you be able to advise whether this is still an ex FCA 767-300ER ?
Many thanks,
Paul
Your flights (MAN-MLE-MAN: TOM188/9) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread. The premium cabin is configured 2-3-2 with pairs on the outboard seats. If doesn't make a lot of difference in you're on the left or right really although the toilet is located at the front of the cabin on the left so sitting on the left (seats A/B) save you from having to go through the galley. Most rows will have a full window and a part one, but row 9 doesn't have any so you'll want to avoid that. Seating is always personal preference. We can't comment on load factors (reason here), but aircraft don't make money unless they are full.
Darren
I think you've done right as I suspect there's further cancellations to come and they'll extend well in to the summer. You're flying from Manchester aren't you? So presumably on the MAN-PUJ-MAN (TOM126/7)? That's operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER.
