kirsty12,

I can only give you the information that is on my screen and I have the Thomson Airways aircraft schedule on it! It was confirmed by BY-TOM-AMM-FCA who works for the airline so I don't know what the person you've spoken to is looking at, but I'd be interested to know. I hope everything goes ok for you and have a great holiday :cheers

rachie-m,

If you're on a former First Choice aircraft, row 9 (last row) in premium doesnt have a window. All other premium seats have windows.

alexblfc,

Please refer to your previous post confirming the aircraft type. I posted the link to the What Aircraft? thread where all the information is. It'll be 2-4-2.

paradiselover,

Thomson Airways allow the pooling of luggage allowance providing that each passenger is on the same booking. As long as no suitcase exceeds 23kg and the total adds up to your maximum allowance, eg 40kg for two people, you'll be fine. Any suitcase exceeding 23kg won't be accepted for travel. If you have 22kg and 18kg, that's perfect. Refer to Thomson Airways website for luggage allowance details.

umitslover,

You can book specific seat numbers 6 weeks prior to your departure date. The 3 months refers to short haul and outer seats on the long haul aircraft, not the centre seats (that's the way I understand it currently). It's all very confusing keeping up to date with everything, I wish they'd make their minds up and stick to a single policy!

Sorry, I must have missed your post with the recent flurry of questions :duh

EMA-PFO-EMA (TOM7318/9) are operated by a Boeing 737-800 (winglets). You'll find further aircraft information and my trip reports on our What Aircraft? thread. If you aren't too fussed about which part of the aircraft you are sat it, I wouldn't worry about booking specific seats. Because of the nature of aircraft seating, it's inevitable that some passengers may be seperated by an isle, be one row behind or seperated, but the vast majority of passengers are sat together.

Hi Darren,

I found the information saying it was a 737, i rang thomson up again and spoke to a really nice helpful guy who calmed me down quickly as i was about to :cry in anger!!.

He double checked again and said it is definatly a 757, he named it as a 757-cona (means nothing to me). I've moved seats anyway to two on there own, row 12 seats d/e. If all else fails we are near the front which is the better place to be isn't it!!?.

He can't explain why the information is wrong elsewhere :whoops

I just can't wait to see some :sun2

Thanks

Kirsty,

I can't give you the schedule I have access to unfortunately. But I do have a link to a public website of Thomson Aiways(it is still branded Britannia/Thomsonfly, but the information is bang upto date)

http://web.ana-aviation.com/BY_schedule.nsf/Departing%20Schedule!OpenPage&Start=1&Count=1000&Expand=1.62

Scroll down and where it says Kefalinnia and then it will expand all the flights to EFL, when STN-EFL-STN comes it it shows 73H which is the abreviated term for the 737-804.

757-CONA is internal for 757 config A basically a 757 from the Thomsonfly fleet.

Make sure you get proof you have paid for extra legroom the system usually picks up who has paid for extra legroom anyway before seating people who haven't paid for them into those seats, so it shouldn't be much problem anyway, unless everyone else on the day pays for extra legroom seating. The crew, both pilots and cabin crew cannot fly on the 757 from Stansted so what he is saying, along with the schedule direct from Operations that both Dazbo and myself have does not make sense.

Sorry I am not being much help, and probably making it worse!

This is getting really complicated now?, if thomsonfly have the details of it being a 757 when it's a 737 will they have over booked the seats?. Either way i just want to get there leg room or no leg room :cheers.

I'm going to be the first in the queue at check in and see what happens, other than a stampede by me :yikes

Thanks guys

MAN-DLM-MAN (TOM496/7), departing MAN at 0915, are operated by a Boeing 767-304/ER (328Y - short haul). You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread. I can't say I've ever measured the length of the seat belts!! All I can say is they are adequate and if not, there are extensions available.
