Anyway in blagging a cheap premium economy seat?!

No chance I'm afraid. Premium economy generally gets booked up quite quickly so there's normally more demand than supply. It's only when there's been a cancellation that seats become available close to the departure date and even then, they're not discounted by much (if at all). I've sat in the seat infront of the exit fow (row 19 on the particular aircraft I was on, and 23 / 27 on the others from memory) and they're great as you can recline your seats fully without the worry of interferring with those behind. If you look at my trip reports on the What Aircraft? guide for Puerto Vallarta (longest flight FCA used to operate at 14 hours), there's plenty of info.

Thanks mate - thats a great help!

Will speak to the airline and pre-book 2 window aisle seats in the 2-3-2 in the row ahead of the exit seats.

Cheers!

I was on the phone to thomsons early to arrange night before check in at manchester. Used it in March at a cost of £5 per person but well worth it. Called today and advised still available and even better its now free of charge.

As you can see from Davids post, they swap and change them all the time as they move them for maintenance, but it's mainly former FCA aircraft out of BRS.

When I called on Wednesday this week they had my outbound flight (29 July) loaded but the return (12 August) was not yet loaded on their system.
They suggested that if I called back late next week then it was likely that the return leg would be showing & that seats would then be bookable.

We are flying out to Hurghada on 14th Aug. I phoned Thomson on Tuesday to try and book our seat numbers and were advised that although the flights were loaded, they were waiting the go ahead to release the seats numbers, and was told to phone back next week when I would probably be able to book.

Jamie09,

Flights TOM670 NCL-SFB will most likely be G-OOBM or G-OOBK both B767-300.
LAST WEEKS FLIGHT WAS OPPERATED BY G-OOBM - EX - FIRST CHOICE
PREVIOUS FLIGHT ARE G-OOBK - EX - FIRST CHOICE

Hi there,
I am travelling LGW-PFO on Sunday 14th June. TOM4756. Think (!) I've managed to find out that this is a 737-800 but just wondered if anyone could confirm this? Also only booked the holiday last week so have to pick up tickets at LGW. Does anyone know if this is still a First Choice Desk as that is actually who we booked with. Last question (I promise!!) - If indeed this is a 737 it looks like the rows at 15 and 16 are overwing exits. These look to be the only extra legroom seats onboard. I just wondered if these are only allocated on the day (I am airline cabin crew with another airline and that is our procedure) or if we're likely to find that these have already been prebooked. Thanks again guys :tup

Please refer to the answer provided following the last 2 times you've asked the same question.

Mitziecat,

Welcome onboard :tup
LGW-PFO-LGW (TOM4756/7) are indeed operated by a Boeing 737-800 (winglets). First Choice no longer exist as an airline, everything is under the Thomson (Airways) brand so you'll need to visit their information desk in Zone A to pick your tickets up. Rows 15/16 are indeed the overwing emergency exit seats (extra legroom) and are the only seats onboard that offer any extra room. These are normally pre-booked before the flight so are unlikely to be available on the day. The 73H has the slimline Recaro seats fitted so they give you a little more knee-room and feel roomier than your standard charter seat.

Ok, thanks so much for that!! I guess they must just assess pax suitability on the day then if they are allowed to pre-book exit rows. Oh well I'm sure we'll survive. Take care :D
